FIGHT PREDICTIONS

Predictions: 7 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 420 Points   |   Tied for 402nd

Collard vs. Martinez
Clay Collard, DEC
Very even fight but I gotta go with Clay after that masterclass against Stephens. I think Clay will move forward more, slip the counters and ultimately outpoint Martinez to a 29-28 UD.

Carlos Junior vs. Souto
Antionio Carlos Junior, TKO, R1
Souto didn't look terrible in his debut but ACJ is way to big of a step up. The PFL must really want ACJ to get 12 points. If Souto can't beat Wilkinson, he doesn't have a shot against ACJ. I think it'll look pretty similar to the Monte fight except ACJ will follow up with G n' P and get his first professional KO (TUF doesn't count).

Manfio vs. Aubin-Mercier
Raush Manfio, DEC
Most even fight on the card, just have a feeling that this is gonna go Manfio's way if it goes to the judges (regardless if he actually wins or not). As a Canadian, this hurts but hopefully OAM can prove me wrong.

Stephens vs. Price
Jeremy Stephens, TKO, R2
Not sure what the hardest hitting 145er has shown in the past 4 years to show that he is worthy of the -600 price tag, but that being said, if he loses here, he must retire. He does have the advantage on the feet here, and as long as he doesn't completely gas, he should be able to get a finish here. The weight cut does scare me though.

Akhmedov vs. Aukstuolis
Omari Akhmedov, KO, R1
There should never be a scenario where Omari is a -550ish favorite, but he still should get the KO here. Aukstuolis can crack and if he can withstand the first round against Omari, the fight will tilt in his favor. He was cracking Hamlet with some good shots and I worry that Omari's chin may fail him. But the same can be said with Teodoras, and I think that is the more likely scenario.

Schulte vs. Held
Natan Schulte, DEC
This is my favorite fight on the card. The skill level is so high and so even. But I'm going with the former champ to get his revenge. He looked great against OAM and brought a very close fight. 29-28 UD for Schulte.

Sordi vs. Monte
Emiliano Sordi, KO, R1
Not sure why Monte got signed. Seems like they want to give an easy win to Sordi because he was supposed to have one the last time and got dominated. I think He-Man catches Monte near the end of the first and puts him out with G and P.

Wilkinson vs. Pesta
Rob Wilkinson, TKO, R2
I think Rob carries the momentum of his first fight. Pesta looked really bad against Akhmedov, and Rob shocked me with how good he was after coming back to a major promotion. I think he gets a similar win to his first in the PFL and finishes Pesta against the cage.

Hamlet vs. Silveira
Josh Silveira, SUB, R2
I think Silveira wins the wrestling by a little bit but the striking by a lot. I think he'll piece up Hamlet on the feet and punch his way into a takedown where Hamlet will eventually succumb to an RNC. Silveira will want to make a point of stopping it so he gives himself a chance at qualifying.

Childers vs. Jennerman
Nate Jennerman, DEC
Very even fight, but I don't think Childers will be able to get it done on short notice. Full camp, different story, but got Jennerman by a close split decision.

Jeremy “Lil Hairless” Stephens should run through price but I wouldn’t be surprised if he loses. He’s looked pretty weak sauce since his peak of calling Jose Aldo a broken man and getting tkod after that

^ you obviously must not watch MMA that much. He just had a fight of the year contender against Clay Collard.

+ dude is a entertaining knockout artist that is either kill or be killed, and was fighting drug addiction half of the time.

Horrible take.

Júnior vs. Souto
Antônio Carlos Júnior, SUB, R1
The post UFC turnaround this man has had is super impressive. I wonder what would've happened if the UFC had never cut him.

Manfio vs. Aubin-Mercier
Raush Manfio, DEC
Manfio's still the betting underdog? Better but some respect on his name he's the defending champ (Clay got robbed though).

I know Jeremy Stephens for being an entertaining knockout artist. He’s had some great fights particularly against Collard, Choi, Emmett and more. But he has been losing for years now, granted it’s been against some really good competition. It was just a joke about him falling off, going from fighting the arguable featherweight goat to losing in the PFL. That’s the game I guess, at least it hasn’t been against any scrubs

I do disagree with myself there, I would be surprised if he lost this fight. Price only exists in this PFL season seemingly to be cannon fodder for the other fighters who have a better chance of winning. Idk why I said that part of it😂

Sordi/Stephens

Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 1 Perfect, 365 Points   |   Tied for 633rd

I won't bet on either, no matter what.  They have been dead to me for a very long time, on the gambling side.  However, on a fun Tapology pick, this will be the last time I pick them if they can't find a way to win.  There is no reason they shouldn't be dominating their opponents this evening.  If Sordi gets caught again or if Stephens messes this up, I think it maybe time...
