It was lol. If they fight 10 times, how many does craig win? Maybe 3?

Why as little as 3 times? He's subbed better fighters than krylov

Maybe the fact about 70% of people on here thought Craig would win, and we were all right, shows that it's not even an upset

It was an upset according to oddsmakers. The majority of tapology picked him for no other reason than recency bias lol. If krylov didn’t have negative fight iq, he was on his way to koing Craig

I picked Craig just cause literally everyone has fallen into his triangle. EVERYONE. Even someone as patient as Ankalaev ****** up and fell into it. Fighting Paul Craig is like trying to wrestle a giant Venus fly trap.

I agree. Kind of annoyed I didn’t pick him because of the mistakes that krylov makes on the ground. However, most people who blindly picked him was recency bias

The bookies are consistently stupid when it comes to mma odds.

I, like many others on here I imagine, picked Craig because he's subbed better guys than krylov, krylov has been subbed by many people before, plus Craig is on a great run and was fighting in the UK

If this recency bias is such a thing then I assume you never really back people that are on a good win streak?

That’s not what recency bias is. Recency bias is basing someone’s last performance as a measure of how they will do in their next fight, disregarding current stylistic matchups. For example, saying that Anthony Hernandez has a high level ground game because he subbed a top level black belt in his last fight would he recency bias. It would be disregarding the fact that Hernandez was losing that fight until viera gassed.

I get what you're saying but I still don't see the correlation with Paul Craig. Snapping hill's arm in his previous fight is a lot less impressive than triangle choking ankalaev years ago for me

I just think words like that and can crusher are thrown around far too easily on here

I saw that originally it was going to be gamzatov vs clark but it looks like the reason this is at HW is because knight couldn’t make weight on short notice

It’s commonplace for fighters to accept fight to avoid backlash then drop out last minute with undisclosed injury e.g. gastelum/hall
