This will be a Bellator/Bellator kickboxing card.

Hoping Peritore rematches Kielholtz for the title this time. Their last fight was sick! and i assume it'll be joe schilling vs Alexandru Negrea

Even though Kielholz fights this weekend, they seem confident in her. because the press release says at this event she will rematch Peritore for the inaugural flyweight title. They also announce Raymond Daniels, Kevin Ross, Joe Schilling and the debut of Giorgio Perosyan, but none of them have opponents. Only CONFIRMED fight is Kielholz/Peritore II.

@Mike This friday's Bellator Kickboxing' fights are taped. The fights took place last Saturday. According to Fight1.it, wich is run by Carlo Di Blasi, Oktagon's owner and the co-promoter for this event,  Schilling's opponent is Vittorio Iermano.

Dang. Figured the fights would be tape-delayed by a day or two, but I didn't realize they already happened! Makes sense then. Also, with the way Schilling has done lately, they probably just want to get him a win by any means necessary.

re: Carvalho vs. Manhoef I

@mikeyg and @Bigj383 both have spectacularly accurate memories

for all the crap Carvalho gets (and deserves) for that fight, it was quite a tepid performance from big Melvin too.  Possibly the first of his career.

About time

This is a rematch that needed to happen even if the first fight was crappy.  Manhoef should be Bellator MW champ right now. Carvalho did not want it at all. He gave up in the 3rd round. Manhoef played it very safe. Convincingly won every round even if not much happened. Would be a Shame if Melvin gets clipped here and loses the rematch. He def deserves that Belt before he calls it quits.

This seemed like a rematch that would happen as a headliner of the prelims cause they've been pushing that which i think it would be perfect considering how the first one went but Title fight as the Main and Sakara Beltran as co-main i feel much better about this card.

This is an amazing card if you're a kickboxing fan, so-so if you're solely MMA.

@Slong I can´t question Carvalho here. He was injured due to Melvin´s leg kicks and he had a lot of trouble putting weight on his injured leg. He certainly did what he could and looked to take Melvin down. Melvin should have been more aggressive and look to finish the fight. It ultimately cost him when he didn´t get the decision.

It was a horrible fight, but the rematch works for the division as it lets other MW have a couple more fights. Salter could use one more win, or the winner between Storm and Grove could be next.

@Kinsalsa

he didn't want it dude. he did nothing at all. The screaming lady in his corner did more than him.

He had a clearly injured leg, and Melvin could have finished the fight if he would have been more agressive. Now Melvin gets a rematch that I agree with

idk about that

No need to take that unnecesary risk when you're clearly winning the fight. 2nd round he appeared to hurt him with one of the kicks but it did not change the complection of the fight. Carvalho was the exact same the whole time. Whether you want to admit it or not he did NOT come to fight. And by the 4th round he had given up completely. Props to him for not quitting on the stool and going out those last 2 rounds but had he lost that fight i fully believe he would have been cut.

I have no sympathy for fighters who try to cruise to a decision because they think they are winning.

Well

i have no sympathy for fighters that just show up for a paycheck and do absolutely nothing.

At least Melvin was actually trying to make it a fight. He pushed the pace and moved forward. Good in and out striking however limited it was.

MMA main card complete

Philipe Lins vs. Pietro Cappelli and John Salter vs. Claudio Annicchiarico added to main card of Bellator 168 in Italy according to floyd

Some Italian dudes about to get murdered here. US wouldn't sanction those fights if their tapology records are correct. Never heard of them, they could be big in thai or something which would make it better but as far as MMA goes. thats insane.

How can Bellator book a 0-1 guy vs. John Salter after Salter destroyed a former middleweight champ? ***?

Happy to see Phillipe Lins back. He looked good in his comeback despite that long layoff. Lins vs. Sakara would be a much better fight than the current fights Lins and Sakara are part of. If they both win, that's the fight to make. If Beltran wins and Lins wins, that's the fight to make too.
