    Alexander "The Great" Volkanovski

I mean...what can be said that hasn't been said before? The dude has torn through the featherweight division, and aside from that second Holloway fight, he's done so uncontested. He obviously won't reign forever, but he will be champion for a long time. Hell, he may even become double champ. I don't think he will, but he has a great chance. I can say from personal experience, watching this guy fight live in an arena is way different than watching him on a broadcast. It's insane. He's the best in the world right now.
  2. 2

    Max "Blessed" Holloway
    Max Holloway
    "Blessed"
    26-7-0
One of my favorite fighters. Sucks that he got the absolute crap kicked out of him by Volk, but we still can't deny that Max Holloway is the #2 featherweight in the world, and he holds a permanent spot on the featherweight Mount Rushmore. While it's true that Max can't really go anywhere from his current position, I wouldn't be opposed to seeing him in a couple more fights before he retires and becomes a full-time dad. He's absolutely dominated three of the next four fighters on this list, he's staked his claim as one of the best, and hopefully he doesn't suffer through too many more wars so he can retire in peace.
  3. 3

    Yair "El Pantera" Rodriguez
    Yair Rodriguez
    "El Pantera"
    18-5-0, 1 NC
I used to think Yair wasn't that great to be honest. Yeah he had flash, but when he went to a decision, he wasn't usually that impressive. Since the Korean Zombie fight though, Yair's been on fire (aside from Jeremy Stephens eye poke). He put on a banger with Max Holloway, and had the fight lasted longer than a round, I think he would've put the hurt on Ortega too. He's got the speed, the power, the flash, and he can somehow keep all of that through a five round fight. While I don't think Yair will ever win a world championship, I think we can expect him to stick around the top ranks and put on more bangers. Kattar vs Yair, book it Dana.
  4. 4

    Brian "T-City" Ortega
    Brian Ortega

Remember when Ortega didn't fight for almost two whole years after he lost to Max Holloway?
