Speaking of, why is it any time a Brazilian changes their name, it's always Da Silva. Always.

Just watching weigh ins now and Alex Perez was ******* tweaking. Holy ****, take it from someone who did a bit too much drugs in their youth. lmao what is he on?

Also, Karine Silva looking like the she-hulk.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 13 Winners, 3 Perfect, 470 Points   |   Tied for 2482nd

Nicolau vs. Perez
Matheus Nicolau, DEC
without even considering the momentum contrast, this seems like not a great stylistic matchup for perez. he seems to have a hard time in fights where he isn't able to apply his wrestling and nicolau has done a good job staying off his back thus far.

Spann vs. Guskov
Bogdan Guskov, TKO, R1
i'm gonna throw guskov a bone because he came through for me last time. spann definitely has the finishing ability to find his own stoppage too, question will be just how much energy does he use going for it?

Silva vs. Lipski
Ariane Lipski, DEC
screw it, let's take another chance here. silva is all finishes, but her ko's are all ~5+ years ago and against rookies, while lipski has never been submitted. lipski has looked a lot better lately so i'll say she can keep it standing?

Diniz vs. Lane
Jhonata Diniz, TKO, R1
maybe we see lane get more physical against what seems to be a straight striker? i'm gonna go with the crowd here, but that certainly seems like a path to victory.

Pearce vs. Onama
Jonathan Pearce, DEC
onama has been taken down a lot in some of his fights and that's pretty much exactly what pearce wants to do if he can avoid getting clipped at boxing range.

Means vs. Medic
Tim Means, DEC
i think the main question here is how old will means look? tim has only been stopped with strikes once in his ufc career and it has been over 5 years since. he also figures to have the ground advantage i'd think because both of medic's sub wins were over regional rookies and both of his sub losses have been in the ufc. guess i'm taking another chance here?

Yahya vs. Henry
Victor Henry, DEC
the odds make it seem like this is a slam dunk, but victor has been taken down in all 4 of his ufc fights, some multiple times. the upside is that he's never been subbed and should have a significant striking advantage if he can stay standing.

Hubbard vs. Figlak
Austin Hubbard, DEC
figlak can win this if he gets inside and forces some grappling, but without any subs on his record it's hard for me to say he's really gonna be a threat there. maybe that means hubbard can be the more dynamic fighter and switch things up when needed?

Mayes vs. Machado
Caio Machado, DEC
no reason to think mayes can't win this, he's seen better competition, but caio can maybe wrestle him a bit and seems capable of keeping up the volume if he gets stuck standing.

Souza vs. Mann
Ketlen Souza, DEC
i just feel like mann is too small for 115 and doesn't pack enough power to make her range dangerous. on top of that, souza is coming down from flyweight and has fought better competition. seems like it's her fight to lose as long as the cut wasn't too rough on her tank.

Llontop vs. Padilla
James Llontop, DEC
gonna take the guy that isn't on short notice and was booked against much higher caliber of opponents prior to the switch.

Petrović vs. Liang
Ivana Petrović, SUB, R2
liang hasn't really beaten anyone good and lost her last 3 fights to girls who wanna get on top, seems to be ivana's plan.

Hayisaer vs. Benítez
Maheshate Hayisaer, DEC
definitely possible benitez gets on top, but with an 11 year age gap and the lack of meaningful wins over the past 5 years i'm gonna stick with the favorite.

Spann vs Guskov
Spann by Ko 1st round
Pretty straightforward pick even though Spann's negative fight iq might make that not the case. But other than that you're looking at 2 dudes with equal power and speed, subpar defense but Spann has the better defense and reach of the 2.

Mayes vs Machado
I got Machado by Dec
I think Machado gets too much **** for some reason with dumb fans just calling every HW that's not top 10 fat MWs. He's not even that fat and definitely not unathletic lol. He was ''Just standing up" every time he got taken down by Parkin who's like 265 lbs. Not saying he's a stud but he's fighting a guy who's even worse in terms of skill and fight iq and on par in terms of athletic ability. Both have decent cardio too. He's a decent pick.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 13 Winners, 1 Perfect, 340 Points   |   Tied for 4065th

Nicolau vs. Perez
Matheus Nicolau, DEC
This fight will probably be more competitive than people think. Perez hasn't won a fight in a while, but he looked pretty good against Mokaev and has only lost to some of the best at flyweight. Nicolau is the pick, but wouldn't be shocked if Perez got back in the win column.

Spann vs. Guskov
Ryan Spann, SUB, R1
My favorite pick on this card. Guskov is a fraud. He's extremely one dimensional and Spann is going to exploit that. He takes him down and does what he wants with him on the ground to find the finish.

Silva vs. Lipski
Ariane Lipski, DEC
Toughest fight to call on the card. Silva has been a killer since entering the UFC. With that being said, it's hard to trust prospects making a jump up in competition that have only gotten early finishes. She has a lot of unknowns if this goes past the first round and I don't think Lipski is a girl she just runs through. Since moving to ATT Lipski has leveled up. She completely dominated another solid prospect in O'Neill in her last outing. She's got good Muay Thai and her takedown defense and ground game has drastically improved since making the switch. She survives the early storm from Silva and edges out a close decision here as Silva fades.

Diniz vs. Lane
Jhonata Diniz, TKO, R1
This is as low level as it gets for a heavyweight fight. I don't care about Diniz's kickboxing background. I saw him eating waaaaay too many shots against Neves on the Contender Series to feel good about him as a prospect. Luckily for him he's fighting one of the worst heavyweights on the roster who isn't a wrestling threat. Diniz should win this one, but I'm definitely fading him in the future.

Pearce vs. Onama
Jonathan Pearce, SUB, R2
Pearce is one of my favorite betting spots on this card. He's fought the better competition and has better wins on his resume. He also matches up really well stylistically against Onama. Onama has questionable cardio, so if Pearce can wrestle and wear on him, he should be able to find a finish in the 2nd or 3rd. Even if he doesn't find the finish he should win a comfortable DEC. Onama's best chance is a flash KO.

Means vs. Medic
Uros Medic, DEC
Means is a crafty vet, but he's 40 years old now. Medic is hard to trust, but he should be able to pull it out against old man Means.

Noble New Predictions

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 3 Perfect, 425 Points   |   Tied for 3203rd

Means vs. Medic
I want Uros Medic at -300. He has a nutty scissors sweep and a wretched tsuri-dashi. Medic should vandalize the cutman.

Spann vs. Guskov
I tap Ryan Spann at -175. He has a wondrous ankle lock. Spann won't vandalize the dark horse.

Souza vs. Mann
I am taking Ketlen Souza at -380. She has a yellow-bellied quivering palm death touch. Souza could blast the unthinkable. Easy!

Nicolau vs. Perez
I trust Matheus Nicolau at -180. He has a brackish tsuri-dashi. Nicolau could wobble the senses.

Llontop vs. Padilla
I finger James Llontop at -450. He has a voluptuous chin. Llontop won't blend the chosen one.

Pearce vs. Onama
I believe in Jonathan Pearce at -150. He has a hedonistic butterfly sweep and a tasty ground and pound. Pearce shall ravage the cake. Easiest pick of the night!

Silva vs. Lipski
I adopt Karine Silva at -160. She has an eccentric lapel choke and an illogical touch of death. Silva won't penetrate the masterpiece. Count on it!

Hayisaer vs. Benítez
I adopt Maheshate Hayisaer at -235. He has a maladapted mounted elbow drop and an integral back mount. Hayisaer will likely victimize the victory.

Hubbard vs. Figlak
I go for Michal Figlak at -175. He has a wondrous crossface. Figlak shall nullify the cake. Вот, где собака зарыта!

Yahya vs. Henry
I adopt Victor Henry at -425. He has a gifted overhead chop. Henry won't block the unthinkable. For sure!

Petrović vs. Liang
I choose Ivana Petrović at -500. She has a priceless crossface and an egregious scissors sweep. Petrović should terminate the chosen one. Easy!

Diniz vs. Lane
I trust Jhonata Diniz at -330. He has an eccentric crossface. Diniz should fuel the rival. Die daumen drücken!

Are you talking about Da Silva? Yeah I think she could take it, I have fight goes the distance on that one. In general I have a bunch of decision bets in this one just based on odds.

I'm fairly confident in Nicolau I think this is a good matchup for him. Perez is very flat-footed comparatively. I feel he will be there for Nicolau to stick and move. I see Nicolau being the minute winner for sure.
