Well one thing I know for a fact is ruziboev has good management (Ali abdelasleeze) so that’s why he’s getting layup fights and high placement on big cards. Amazing what having a good amamger does cfor your career; I’m sure Ali pitched ruziboev as some finishing machine to the matchmakers before they signed him 

@pasha my confidence doesn’t reflect the tapology population. I’m from MA, our fighters are all tin cans; I’m just not sure buzujka has enough to push him anywhere. Matthews is very hittable and seems to fade when he is not the nail but buzukja doesn’t seem to want to push hard for 15 minutes. Whoever is able to control the pace of the fight will take it

Something about Silva vs. Weidman is both intriguing and worrying for Weidman, feel like Bruno is gonna be very aggressive to get a win and Weidman has been used and abused

my take on this is fairly simple. Dennis Buzukja struggles against better strikers. Not grapplers/wrestlers. specifically. I believe he will beat Mathew’s.

Why is Loopy Godinez fight line so wide now? Crazy… this is women’s mma. Virna Jandiroba ain’t no bum. 
Feel like this should be 50/50 fight. Maybe I’m wrong. 

@pasha i don’t think Dennis is very good anywhere. I was watching his fight against Soslan outside the ufc and he was getting taken down and controlled pretty easily by a 6-6 guy. I think Matthews should be able to outgrapple him but again, very low confidence. I think both are terrible and buzujka was chosen to be Matthews opponent because they want to give him his walking papers

fair take. I definitely see your side. Sometimes it’s not who is better, but who is UFC trying to get rid of. Maybe a split Dec can happen in this fight. Lol

btw… read your emmars break down. Love it. Thinking about Dog or pass here. I do think on technicality Emmers is the better fighter. But something in my gut tells me he is being over hyped a little bit based on his last performances. And Nate really DOES have that DOG in him. Very low confidence, but i can see him pulling off an upset . Nate HAS fought some super tough dudes.

Interesting comment. "Journeymen" to me just means you've been around the block and are a veteran of the sport. Emmers is 34, is approaching 30 career fights and has 6 in the UFC already. By calling him a journeymen I just mean he's no spring chicken. I'd also consider Landwehr a journeymen. I can totally see how that term might carry a negative connotation though. I actually think Emmers is a pretty good fighter.

Nobody is arguing. We're just having a conversation. Arguing is what happens sometimes when two people don't have the patience to dig into semantics, especially over the internet. I could easily just come into this forum and spout my opinion at everyone and leave it at that, but I find more often than not a lot of us are saying the same thing just in a different way.

I completely agree with what Ayy said. From the perspective of seeing a guy with +30 wins and +20 subs, Ruziboev looks fraudulent on paper. You do raise a good point that some of his fights appear to have been clear mismatches, but I also struggle trying to figure out where to draw the line there. He's in a more remote part of the world where the talent pool isn't great. How's a guy supposed to get better if he isn't in the octagon fighting? 

I will say Ruziboev is the first guy I've seen with not one, but two no contests on his record that just says "overturned by promotoer". That definitely caused me to raise my eyebrow. I don't know if he'll ever be good enough to be ranked but I definitely think he's a good addition to the roster like many of the other fighters the UFC has been plucking from Central Asia. That region is seriously on the rise. 

@pasha agree 100% with everything you said on emmers fight. Hard to trust him as a decent fav and I think the Jenkins robbery is playing into his price tag. He should win but hard to trust him as a fav 

@foppa I wouldn’t say anything about his fights normally but watching some of them, man something is really off. You just don’t see people instantly tapping to kimuras done from off of someone’s back with 0 hooks in. I’m sure it’s very painful but that isn’t a difficult spot to get out of; very suspect he’s fighting people who shoot takedowns and insta tap like that. Also, Caio borralhoa teammate (alex da silva/da Paula I don’t remember exactly) fought ruzibiev and Caio said his teammate was paid to take a dive. I find it very hard to believe ruziboev fought 8 people in a row (I’ll say 6 not counting ufc fight and brave fight since both are legit orgs) who not only didn’t watch tape, but decided to shoot on ruziboev & allow him to either hit a sweep or kimura them from his back. Results like that just don’t happen in real mma, I’d love to see him try to use the kimura sweep on any competent grappler from the us regional circuit 

It's truly a blessing to be a Texas fan right now, It feels like every week one of us fight. We keep losing though 😂

Also before everyone ****s on me for calling a hyped guy a “fraud” just look at these videos and tell me his opponent isn’t being paid to lose

Fun fact is even if Ruziboev dogwalks thru Dumas there's a big chance it wouldn't answer many questions. But I do believe Ferreira is a good win to have

@jefferson yeah I don’t think we will learn much here. Dumas can’t grapple to save his life so I imagine he will fall directly into the ruziboev sweep from mount. If ruziboev tries to get a kimura as takedown defense tho, then we are looking at a potential upset. I don’t think anyone ufc level, even the short notice cans will fall for something as low level as a kimura from bottom. Thats literally something you tap to from pain, not because it’s an effective sub. You need gorilla strength to properly tap someone from bottom like that
