Was that really terrible striking defense from Ferreira though? Ruziboev is ridiculously experienced, especially for his age, and he countered with a quick, powerful straight after catching Ferreira's kick. Holding onto that leg not only kept Ferreira in place, but ensured that nearly all the momentum from his body falling onto the mat was delivered to his head. Night night. I'm sure someone more familliar with physics could explain the mechanics of the finishing sequence better, but all I'm trying to say is he got caught with a good shot from a tricky, powerful fighter. **** happens

it is yes, if you've watched ferriera's other fights you would see he takes one to give one constantly. Look at how he went toe to toe with that guy on dwcs & Gregory was landing on him as well. If you still can't see that on tape, his striking defense according to the stats is 47%, which further backs what im saying

People forget Robocop was touching him up because of the highlight heel ko wich he gave it to him on a platter. i feel like people are forgetting Brunno flaws because Hawes looked so much weak in his last two fights and i get it but Hawes is not only so much better skill for skill but he's also massive compared to Brunno i forgot how small he was for middleweight.

Hawes is basically robo cop with an even worse chin. Yes Bruno has bad striking defense but I rewatched the Bruno vs robo cop fight and bruno was landing big shots even before he got the ko. It's not like he landed one punch out of nowhere. He also got right back up after getting taken down. Hawes cannot take a punch. I see this fight lasting less than 1 minute

Hawes is definitely better skill for skill, but his chin is so suspect it's hard for me to see him going a full 15 minutes without getting clipped at least once. He basically has to fight a perfect fight defensively to win. Either that or finish Brunno early, but Brunno is pretty durable. That KO from Ruziboev was just a thing of beauty. Nobody is surviving that

Hawes most likely have to wrestle Brunno to win, We all know Phil Hawes ain’t winning a stand and bang contest because he chinny, Phil Hawes is a D1 wrestler who a crazy athlete currently training at a grappling gym, he’ll be ******** to not go for it.
