sad i have to fade Arlovski now. i think age has finally broken him. the days of only the good HWs getting past him is no longer true

@Vispian
I really enjoyed watching him go through that epic resurgence after adopting better foot work, but I agree. There is a threshold where age worsens the fighter exponentially - he is now there.
I wonder how many more fights he has left, always been a guy I’ve been rooting for

@Kniferusty
the fact he is getting KOed by phantom punches is sad. I will still root for him, but I cant pick him anymore and the thing is Waldo isnt even that bad for a HW. sure he isnt anything amazing but he isnt bad.

Arlovski is 44 year old, it hard to win fights at that age, I think only Dan Henderson, Randy Coutour and Alexi Olenic won at 44 year old or higher, and I think all of those wins are to pretty bad fighter,

Just to be at the UFC in your mid 40s is a very good accomplishment, even if most likely it won’t go well for you

Arlo is such a weird case he is actually one of the earlier "Sambo" fighters to be champ.
Forget which flavor but he had good or great grappling at one time.
IF he still had his grappling he could easily beat Waldo in the clinch or takedown gnp and subs.
Sadly his speed, strength and grappling has long since left, he could still outpoint Waldo but man that Mayes loss scares me for Arlo reflexes as well.

When Acosto throws his signature 'baseball pitch' overhand - even if Arlovski blocks it he'll still be rocked. Also, his space for footwork is at a disadvantage being a heavyweight in the smaller Apex cage

Parsons is a Jrey prospect, are we sure we want to go through backing another one of these guys again?

Yeah I mean I think people put too much weight on that performance. JDM was clearly compromised & fought a terrible gameplan. He also underestimated his opponent & probably didn’t even watch his fights

Hafez showed up because he had nothing to lose. IMO he’s still not ufc level but I think his heart and ability to fight through being tired wins him this fight

It’s ironic parsons is called “pressure” because he breaks when he has to be the nail. I think his skills are better than hafez’s but hafez is not gonna stop fighting until the fight ends

I can see Hafez breaking chinny Presto I could see them trade grapples for 15 minutes as well.
Pretty funny JDM almost got robbed in that fight, "don't leave it to the judges" Dana the white guy.

5 of hafez 13 fights have gone to split decision. I don't think he'll dominate anyone but he's difficult to beat
