Van is a prospect with 10 fights and at only 22 years old he still has ample room to improve, but in his fight against Borjas he was hurt during the first round, but the body shots strategy slowed down Borjas and make the path for Van's UD win. But at this point in his career, Van could be surprised by a more experienced fighter and that would not mean that he is bad or that he does not have the caliber for the UFC.
Bunes may have 6 losses, but he has faced a good level of opposition since he arrived on the Russian circuit in 2018: his record is 4-4 since that date but the only fighter capable of finishing it was Jussier Formiga (UFC veteran and Former Ranked Top 5 in Flyweight division). Paradoxically, there is a Juxtaposition between losing fights and gaining experience when you face a solid level of opposition and a fighter with that level of experience can be difficult for someone like Van. I consider Van to be the favorite with fair merit, but if Burnes manages to win it wouldn't be something that would seem so far-fetched to me.

P.S: The following paragraph is a little far from the main focus but I personally consider it unnecessary to have hard feelings against someone who is in a forum where you mainly share the same passion or hobby. It is impossible to agree 100% and naturally we will all at some point be on opposite sides regarding an opinion. At least all the people who disagreed with my opinion regarding the outcome of Gamrot vs. Fiziev, you helped me realize that maybe I was going too far comparing it to the stoppage in Porier-McGregor III. I still don't consider that fight a Fluke Win by Gamrot, but I do agree that Fiziev was able to start implementing adjustments to counter Gamrot's gameplan and that injury simply ruined what looked like a good fight.
