Mitchell vs. Ige
Bryce Mitchell, SUB, R3
Mitchell didn't seem to handle the Topuria loss very well, at least initially, but Topuria is a future title challenger and I don't think there is much shame in losing to him. This for me is a question in how Mitchell has reacted to the loss. I don't discount what Ige has done and he's managed to put together a couple of nice wins after many thought he was beginning to wane, but he's lost on account of a grappling differential a few times now.

Means vs. Fialho
Tim Means, TKO, R3
Would have gone with Fialho any other time, but I feel like he's taken too much head trauma in his last few fights. If he doesn't put away Means in the 1st I think he slowly gets picked apart and possibly finished in the 3rd.

Amoral New Predictions

Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 3 Perfect, 375 Points   |   Tied for 1774th

Rodriguez vs. Waterson-Gomez II
I am all over Marina Rodriguez at -310. She has a killer piledriver and a trendy heart stomp. Rodriguez should attempt the natural order.

Means vs. Fialho
I select Andre Fialho at -165. He has a judicious side kick to the throat. Fialho won't bake the victory.

Battle vs. Fletcher
I am enamored with Bryan Battle at -190. He has a trendy leg kick. Battle must neutralize the Octagon. Guaranteed!

Malkoun vs. Brundage
I am taking Jacob Malkoun at -600. He has a quick level change. Malkoun could unsettle the adversary.

Inoue vs. Goldy
I am taking Mizuki Inoue at -340. She has a nasty left hand. Inoue might quiet the ring announcer.

Rendon vs. Vidal
I trust Tamires Vidal at -250. She has a bodacious clawhold. Vidal might capture the cycle.

Collier vs. Usman
I am all about Mohammed Usman at -145. He has a ruthless osoto gari and a creative palm block. Usman is about to bully the achievement.

Fiziev vs. Gamrot
I go with Rafael Fiziev at -155. He has a hypersonic tsuri-dashi. Fiziev is gonna overpower the achievement.

Jourdain vs. Ramos
I am going with Charles Jourdain at -145. He has a xenotropic harai goshi. Jourdain should bake the masterpiece.

Johns vs. Argueta
I am loyal to Dan Argueta at -185. He has a homemade check hook. Argueta isn't about to claw the achievement. Acertar na mosca!

Mitchell vs. Ige
I am enamored with Bryce Mitchell at -205. He has a captivating tsuri-dashi. Mitchell can orchestrate the deed.

Fiziev vs. Gamrot
Mateusz Gamrot, DEC
really worried about the fact that Gamrot has a notable failure in his defense against body kicks and the combination of Powerful striking and Quick star from Fiziev regarding the fact that Gamrot was knocked down at least 1 time in his last 3 fights. But in my opinion Gamrot is a really durable fighter and although Mateuz's striking does not receive much merit, it is a really functional striking to complement his grappling. Fiziev has the striking advantage and his Takedown Defense is really good evidenced in his TDD% against RDA and Gaethje who have a solid level of wrestling offense (Gaethje is an NCAA Division I despite not using his wrestling much in MMA and RDA grappling offense is his strong point in his MMA skills) but I think that if he fails to finish the fight in the first 2 rounds, Gamrot's grappling style will be very difficult for Fiziev to defend. Taking into account how Gamrot managed to suffocate an excellent grappler like Tsarukyan in the final stretch of the fight (final part of the fourth round and entire fifth round) if Fiziev arrives noticeably tired in the second half of the fight, Gamrot could even get late round SUB. Fiziev will start with an advantage, but the further the fight progresses, the more likely Gamrot style will be to impose. I pick Gamrot by UD.

Yeah that would have to be it most likely, although I can see him taking a round on the feet if Battle gets tired. I mostly like the odds. Battle is the A-side I think.

Case that's good. I was getting tired of listening to wonderboy explaining his stricking style non stop every event.

Goldy v Mizuki is impossible to assess. That much time away from the sport and coming into what will most likely be a kickboxing match that goes the distance. You just can't put an accurate line on such a fight ahead of time.

I think Battle gets a late finish after Fletcher gasses himself out. Reach disadvantage is pretty big and Fletcher is no Rinat. He's not gonna be able to smother Battle for 15 minutes. He'll tire himself out before then.

I wouldn't be surprised if Goldy won but Inoue has enough skill that even with all that time off she should be able to win this fight.

WMMA decision kickboxing matches are very volatile. Not in the damage output but in how they might be scored. Judges are unreliable to begin with but it's also the fact that a single good punch can sway an entire round that was otherwise a close one that the fighter was going to lose, and landing such a shot comes down as much to luck as anything when it's not a high skill fight. Same thing goes for a random takedown either way. Are the judges going to ignore it or are they just gonna grant the one on top the round because it was a close exchange on the feet and it's the only thing that stood out?
