This a mid summer fight night event they hope gets some viewers while most of the world will be outside or partying the night away.
Maybe there is some hype behind Abus.
Very unlikely it reaches a decision.

He was offered two names, both of whom turned him down. Sean let it slip that ddp is next for title shot, so he would either be sidelined for 6+ months while the divison works itself out or risk his ranking against someone unranked. He didn’t want to do that so asked ufc to give him whoever was available & alas this happened
