I don't think Aspinall would rush to come back unless he felt 100% in the knee. Every single interview with him is that he wants to take a slow and measured way to the top, even saying "I'm not ready for those guys" about the top of the rankings when he was new to the promotion. I mean which other fighter will recognize and admit that?

I would be more worried about his cardio across 5. Not because he's given any reason to worry, simply because it is completely unknown how he will look in a long fight should it go long.
He has a great physique for HW he's not fat, he's calm and measured. So we can assume he will be fine. But you never know. Hence that would be the worry if anything.

I think there's high potential for this card to over-deliver, and I hope it does. 15 fights is a lot of fights. I'm only truly interested in about half of them. My expectations are pretty low for the other 7 fights on this card I haven't listed above.

I think with this card, The main event and the co main are some of the least interesting fight for me on the card, Watching Aspinal turn Volkov into his son make me not care to watch him fight someone who lost to Volkov as it is a mismatch, And with the co main, Jujita is 1-4 or 1-5 in the UFC, Why do i care about that either???

But the rest of the card is pretty good, With banger after banger which are well match, And even the main and co-main should be fun, Just too "set up wins" for me to care

There’s always a chance that a fighter isn’t the same after a major injury but I think the opposite is going to be true for Tom. He’s talked many times about how he had problems with his knee for years and it finally gave out, I think it’s quite possible that having it surgically repaired may actually give him more confidence in pushing on that knee

Parkin vs. Pogues
Mick Parkin, TKO, R2
A real heavyweight vs a guy who should be a LHW...Parkins record is just abysmal BUT he is skilled, he is very agile for a HW and shows good fight IQ. Good top pressure on the ground, his transitions on the ground def show that he knows what he is doing, there is a lot to be desired from his striking but it's serviceable enough. Pogues on the other hand has the speed advantage with hands but his footwork is bad. Even if he gets the TDs he is going to struggle holding Parkin on the ground and if he ends up on bottom Parkin is not letting him up. We are going to know a lot about Parkin in this matchup. I think Parkin gets a ground and pound victory here in rd2 or rd 3.

Do you guys watch fighter interviews? I rarely do because I feel like I just don't have the time. To get the most out of them you really need to get to know a fighter a second time. You already work at knowing them inside the cage, now you need to get to know them outside. Otherwise you can't tell if anything has changed. For example the Parson interview Kkkombo linked. Does he always have to think that long before answering simple questions? Maybe that's how he's always been, maybe it was a delay on the call. Or could it possibly be something that we're seeing after the serious head trauma they start the discussion on?
I have no idea without watching like 5 more interviews of him. Am I gonna do that for 30 fighters? I would need a time travelling device in my pocket to make that happen. I mean sure you can pick up little snippets from a single interview but is it really worth the time investment?

Predictions: 10 of 15 Winners, 6 Perfect, 730 Points   |   Tied for 556th

Aspinall vs. Tybura
Tom Aspinall, TKO, R1
Aspinall is gonna wreck Tybura quick and easy. Tybura is decent but Aspinall is another level and this is a showcase fight for him.

McCann vs. Stoliarenko
Molly McCann, TKO, R2
Molly will come out hot in front of her home crowd and make quick work of Julija.

Wood vs. Fili
Nathaniel Wood, DEC
Should be a fairly close fight but Wood will go for takedowns to seal the deal for him.

Muniz vs. Craig
Paul Craig, SUB, R2
I was gonna pick Muniz because he can get the knockout because Craig is awful on the feet but if this fight hits the ground I'm taking Craig just because I remembered that Muniz was submitted by Allen so just think of what Craig can do to him.

Herbert vs. Ziam
Fares Ziam, DEC
I think Ziam is just gonna stay on the outside and pick Herbert apart like he usually does to his opponents. Herbert can implement his wrestling but I don't think he will have much success with it and his power almost destroyed Topuria but Ziam will be fine here.

Murphy vs. Culibao
Lerone Murphy, DEC
Murphy is the more skilled fighter and Cuibao has durability but Murphy should put on a show here. I was gonna pick Josh but I can't go against Murphy.

Grant vs. Marcos
Davey Grant, TKO, R3
Dave Grant will make another comeback and get a ground and pound win after being in some bad situations.

Roberts vs. Parsons
Danny Roberts, DEC
Danny Roberts has so much skill/talent but his chin is AWFUL. Parsons is very very ****** but he has crazy head kicks and power so I wouldn't be shocked if he has Danny wobbling with the first strike he throws. I'll still pick Danny here. It Roberts loses, he's cut.

Diakiese vs. Alvarez
Joel Alvarez, SUB, R2
Marc will shoot and Alvarez will snatch his neck. Easy call.

Parkin vs. Pogues
Mick Parkin, SUB, R2
Parkin will get Pogues down and sub him. He has fought cans but Pogues is one of the worst fighters on the roster I've been saying this since he got his DWCS contract because of his sad life story. He's trash. Parkin seems decent let's just hope he has a gas tank.

Barberena vs. Muradov
Makhmud Muradov, TKO, R3
Muradov will keep teeing off on Bryan until he can't take it anymore and breaks. Why is Bryan taking this fight...

Vieira vs. Kianzad
Ketlen Vieira, DEC
Vieira should win and has a lot of power but Kianzad is a dog and will keep coming forward.

Duncan vs. Ashmouz
Yanal Ashmouz, TKO, R1
Duncan gets wobbled in almost every fight he's in. Ashmouz hits like a damn truck. I'll take Ashmouz here. Duncan has power too but can't trust him. I also don't think his wrestling is good enough to keep Yanal down.

Brasil vs. Bannon
Shauna Bannon, DEC
I'll take Bannon to win just because she has more options. Brazil is a striker with decent clinch strikes but she has nothing else to rely on when the times gets rough just like in her last fight against Denise.

Filho vs. Barez
Jafel Filho, SUB, R2
I'm taking Filho to get a submission. He will survive round 1 and then get a sub in round 2. Barez will gas out. Will be a close fight though.
