I'm not comparing his resume, record, stats or anything else. I'm not sure about you but I've watched enough MMA to understand that it doesn't usually count for much these days. "Undefeated" usually means you've faced poor competition. But I believe in Topuria due to the nature of his game: breaking opponents down, mixing up his attacks - all of which are ferocious and precise. Everything he lands has purpose and often compliments his next attack. He's a threat wherever the fight goes and he won't play your game. I love that ****!!

Predictions: 5 of 13 Winners, 2 Perfect, 325 Points   |   Tied for 2890th

Emmett vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, SUB, R2
Topuria will need a round to get his timing and read Emmetts footwork which is excellent. Emmett plants, throw his usual big overhand right that can be seen from a mile away. Right hook followed by some good GnP. Head and arm choke for the cherry on top; GG CC0.

Ribas vs. Barber
Maycee Barber, TKO, R2
I really like the improvements Barber has been making fight to fight. However, I also think Ribas has looked really good since moving up too. Both fighters do a lot of air punching but even more so with Ribas. Her jiu jitsu is exceptional but she might struggle trying to use it here. Barber will have a little size and if she can avoid spending too much time on the ground I actually like her as the better striker here.

Tafa vs. Lane
Justin Tafa, TKO, R1
Bad man hit hard.

Onama vs. Santos
Gabriel Santos, DEC
Haven't seen Onama in awhile but I was so impressed by Santos in his debut. He came as advertised. Onama is probably going to be a step behind here because Santos is kind of good at everything. Onama has crazy power but he throws some wild shots that have just such a low percentage of landing. I will say both guys proved in their last fights that they are freaking tough that's for sure. I think Santos wins 2 rounds cleanly here but I see Onama making another good showing of himself. I don't know if the UFC really likes or hates Onama because this is a brutal matchup off a decent layoff.

Allen vs. Silva
Brendan Allen, DEC
50/50 fight that probably favors Allen every second that passes by. I think Allen has learned his lesson and strikes when he needs to instead of trying to show off. I see this being very similar to Silvas fight with Andrew Sanchez except I don't see Allen gassing out and getting KOd. Silva is actually a decent defensive grappler so I think unless Allen can really wear on Silva and beat him up on the ground I don't see Allen finding a sub. Very hard to lean into one guy confidently because both are coming off stellar performances; Allen submitting someone who was supposed to submit him and Silva KOing a historically very durable fighter. I think the key here is all but certainly Allen doing just enough striking to get through most of the 1st round. He's going to have to be advantageous with his TD attempts because Silva really is very tough to grapple because he's so strong. Turman 0/10 on TD's, Sanchez 7/12 and got KO'd, GM3 even went 1/6 against a clearly injured/labored/bloated Silva.

@modest no, but my guess is not well. He only fought people who couldn’t defend his wrestling on the regional scene. Someone who will offer resistance or stand up after getting takendown will kill his cardio

Josh Emmett is literally 2-3 good punches away from being on a 4 fight skid. Kattar whooped his ass and there are reasonable arguments to be made that he lost 2 rounds to both Ige and Burgos.

I will give him 2 against Burgos cause that was razor close and he was landing some absolutely brutal power shots, but I genuinely believe he lost to Ige and he very obviously lost to Kattar.

Brenden Allen has been promoted to co-headmaster alongside Kevin Holland at the MMA School of Frequent Activity.

Dude went from fighting up in a main event to fighting down and opening a main card in the span of like 2 weeks. Easily could have said no but he's just down to fight anybody and genuinely wants to test himself and see if he's one of the best in the world.

He's fought on average every 4 months since entering the promotion in October of 2019. That in of itself is absurdly impressive.

Brilliant New Predictions

Predictions: 6 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 400 Points   |   Tied for 1891st

Emmers vs. Jenkins
I select Jamall Emmers at -210. He has a decent touch of death and a xerophthalmic sleeper slam and also a resilient lumberjack sweep. Emmers could grapple the natural order. Truth!

Brundage vs. Dumas
I am sticking with Cody Brundage at -190. He has a twisted mindset. Brundage can assault the Octagon.

Zhumagulov vs. Van
I select Zhalgas Zhumagulov at -200. He has a casual elevator hook sweep and an amoral bolo punch. Zhumagulov shall employ the natural order.

Ribas vs. Barber
I trust Amanda Ribas at -200. She has a ultimate chin. Ribas must leverage the cake.

Emmett vs. Topuria
I go with Ilia Topuria at -340. He has an oppulent leaping clothesline and a sassy ankle lock. Topuria ought to zonk the cutman.

Rębecki vs. Radzhabov
I embrace Mateusz Rębecki at -155. He has a xenophobic reverse frankensteiner and a gifted full nelson. Rębecki should cheat the cake.

Ricci vs. Robertson
I am enamored with Tabatha Ricci at -135. She has a captivating ankle lock. Ricci can quash the cage. Cavalo dado não se olha os dentes!

Allen vs. Silva
I prefer Brendan Allen at -200. He has a fancy touch of death. Allen must clinch the ring announcer. I know it!

Onama vs. Santos
I am loyal to Gabriel Santos at -230. He has a yucky sprawl. Santos is about to immobilize the feat.

Magny vs. Rowe
I finger Neil Magny at -175. He has a maniacal dim mak. Magny is gonna scramble the masterpiece.

Tafa vs. Lane
I am all over Justin Tafa at -180. He has an amazing sprawl and an exotic tai otoshi. Tafa should balance the bandit.

Brown vs. Turman
I have a crush on Randy Brown at -230. He has a scintillating quivering palm death touch and a xenophobic kouchi gari. Brown could ignite the counteragent.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 13 Winners, 4 Perfect, 565 Points   |   Tied for 206th

Tafa vs. Lane
Austen Lane, TKO, R3
Tafa has a few wins but they are suspect at best Lane should finish him

Onama vs. Santos
David Onama, DEC
Might be picking with my heart here but I think Onama is too game to lose 2 round here he will be the minute winner if he doesn’t get finished

Brown vs. Turman
Randy Brown, DEC
Brown has more skills but might get held down

Rębecki vs. Radzhabov
Mateusz Rębecki, TKO, R3
Rebecki finally gets a fight

Ricci vs. Robertson
Tabatha Ricci, DEC
Lol

Zhumagulov vs. Van
Joshua Van, DEC
I think Van has a lot of confidence coming into this

Peek vs. Mariscal
Trevor Peek, TKO, R1
Peek gonna bomb on him

Emmers vs. Jenkins
Jamall Emmers, DEC
Emmers gonna stay out of trouble and wrastle

Emmett vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, SUB, R2
Im copying Rusty's homework here

Ribas vs. Barber
Maycee Barber, DEC
The judges are P-words and they into girls that look like a teen thats why Barber is getting the nod here

Tafa vs. Lane
Justin Tafa, TKO, R2
Justin Tafa is one confusing mofo. He loses to guys he should R-word (Vanderaa) but wins vs guys who should beat him (DA GOAT Porter)

Onama vs. Santos
Gabriel Santos, DEC
Both are impressive featherweights when it comes to Unranked guys but since I slandered Glover like crazy I have to go with the Brazilian

Allen vs. Silva
Brendan Allen, SUB, R2
Honestly despite Allen beating Muniz I see this as a 50/50 matchup cause there is always some weird ******y going on after Allen gets seemingly huge W (Ekhem KO'D by Strickland)

Dumas looked bad against Fremd, who has some potential but hasn't looked good himself. Just like he had no idea what to do and couldn't do it.
Also my heart wants him to lose because he's a worse person than Jon Jones.
