I hope you guys picking Volk are gainfully employed and have a decent income coming in. I hope you aren't dependent on gambling money to pay for food, bills and mortgage.

Anyone picking Volk to win this. I am going to check all my picks with yours so I can make sure I have bet the other side. Just like I do with Mezzor.

Sorry Lisac, I like you but you are not exempt from this rule this week. I think you must be drunk or medicated if you are picking Volk over Islam

I got Volk he can win via ko and points.
Not saying it will be easy but Islam is pretty 1 dimensional.

I'm not touching the fight as far as betting goes, and I'm obviously biased as Islam is a goofy degenerate, but I genuinely think its going to be a lot closer than people make it out to be.

If the fight doesn't end in devastating fashion in the first two rounds (as in Islam catching Volk with a knee/sub), I can see Volk start pulling ahead if he's able to use his footwork and scramble. Last time Makachev ended up in championship rounds he was gassed against Moises, Volk won't get tired and despite people saying Islam got stand up its like 2 levels below Volk who is also expecting to be taken down immediately, for better or for worse, so I'm sure he won't just stand paralyzed for 2 minutes staring at Islam waiting for it but will actually work on his feet.

Being a small and compact guy will also help his scrambles a lot more than people think.. like its either fast finish by Islam or Volk takes it home, I genuinely believe Islam won't be able to keep up based on what we've seen so far

Islam was gassed against Moises? LOL. Who was really gassed in the Ortega fight was Volk in that 5th round. Volk doesn't have the style to beat Islam. He mostly wins by decision and he doesn't have 1 KO power to put him away early. Islam literally took less damage throughout his whole career than Volk did in his last fight.

Holloway went up in weight to challenge Dustin and got sent back to 145 and Adesanya what happened to him? What do they have in common? They are extremely undersized you fanboys will say well Volk used to be a big boy playing Rugby over 200 lbs. When was it 10 years ago? Take a look at Jared Cannonier he went from HW to MW you rly think if he comes back to LHW he is going to have success just bc he used to be a big boy? LOL!

Islam, Poirier, Oliveira, Dariush, Fiziev, Tsarukyan all of them smoke Volk.
Islam subs Volk
Poirier by dominant decision
Oliveira subs Volk
Dariush lay and pray by decision
Fiziev by dominant decision
Tsarukyan lay and pray

Recent example Tsarukyan vs Ismaguilov. Wrestler vs Striker who ever said Ismaguilov had great TD defense get outta here. Tsarukyan was never gonna stand and bang with him despite Ismaguilov not having a KO power as well as Volk. He laid on him for 3 rounds and got the job done.

Volk has to do the Edwards miracle to win this fight otherwise he isn't winning. Good luck landing that shot Islam who is a southpaw and he is not Khabib who loved stand and bang at times. There's a reason why he's least hittable guy in UFC history bc he just doesn't stand and bang.

Peace. Islam wins

To be fair to Volk,  he beat the crap out of Ortega for 4 rounds before slowing down the pace, It should of been stopped many time Not many people, If anyone could kept that pace, RDA also "gassed" agaist Moicano doing the same thing and RDA had excellent  cardio, I think Islam would gas too if his opponent took a beating like that

I'm confendent in Islam and I agree with everything else you say, I just don't think Volk has bad cardio, I also belive Volk would beat lightweight contender, He just such a good fighter, Just not Islam
