I am more interested in where the PFL gets such money from and what kind of madmen invest it there, because this promotion is wildly unprofitable and with this grand prix model it will never make a profit

@dmitrev donn Davis (ceo of pfl) recently spoke at the Qatar Economic Forum about PFL. At this forum, he linked up with the Saudi Arabians and got funding from them. That’s where this seemingly endless flow of cash has came from.
I’m with you tho that pfl will never make a profit. They are just bleeding money. I don’t think their ppv model is going to sell as much as they think and the Ngannou investment is gonna turn out to be a financial nightmare

Oh, hell. If Arab money flowed there then they can afford everything.
This changes everything, as long as the sheikhs are willing to pay of course

Update from lazy king per Al Zullino
lazy king has been ghosted by the ufc. He said they stopped contacting him.
Really sucks to see the beef with ali and Fernand is preventing them from getting fights

Manolo Zecchini has been signed to the ufc per roster watch. Added same time as charriere so he must be his opponent. Odd choice but I do understand giving charriere a freebie in his hometown. However, there is definitely someone better they could’ve gotten him, this guy seems like a can

I also just realized that Amin Ayoub is now 20-5 bc of Damien Lapilus's failed drug tests. He lowkey might get signed especially since Lapilus is an MMA Factory guy, and they might just sign Ayoub out of spite

As I understand Ali is just a manager. How can he tell ufc what can they sign and what they can not?

on paper he's just a "manager", in reality he manages an insane amount of fighters and majority of them are super loyal to him because he takes care of them. if he asked his fighters to turn down fights and sit out on purpose to protest a certain cause that he believes in, i'm sure a lot of them would oblige creating issues for the ufc

I think the success of this Paris event will hopefully encourage the UFC to continue to invest in the European market. Aside from Poland which is pretty much owned by KSW, there is a lot of untapped potential. As much as it makes sense for the UFC financially to keep holding shows in the Apex, I think a lot of fans are getting sick of them. Barcelona / Copenhagen / Zagreb / Berlin / Amsterdam - all great opportunities

I mean at this point why not hold an event in Georgia?? Tbilisi has almost double the population of Vegas. A main card with Merab, Ilia, Dolidze, and Giga would be legit! Throw in some Kazakh fighters and a few Europeans. Would be incredible.
