Instead of spamming the boards everytime I see some cool news, I’ll post it here. I’ll also keep track of prospects I like, new signings to ufc/dwcs/Bellator/etc.

its going to be tricky hosting an event in georgia because of the diminished infrastructure plus the fact that it's going to be tricky having russian fighters associated to the event in any way. you basically can't have any russian fighters be on the card or any russian coaches/fighters corner other people on the card since they'd be at risk because of the political tensions between georgians and russians. they really should use your logic though and do an event in central asia instead and, more specifically, kazakhstan as they had planned in 2020

Totally agree and I think there is enough central asian talent where you wouldn't even need to have any russians on the card anyways.  While Georgia has some political instability, I think Tbilisi is a modern growing city and I doubt there would be any major concerns.  I am sure the Georgian government would bend over backwards to accommodate the UFC in every way as it would bring so much publicity and money in.

Fabiola pidroni is out of dwcs due to visa issues. She had been arrested in the past for being a drug dealer (yes, this is real), so that may be affecting her ability to get a visa

Also adding to the convo, I have a feeling we will get at least one event in Central Asia sometime soon. The amount of central Asians on the roster is only getting bigger and bigger & the ufc keeps signing guys from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, etc.

Terrible idea to go to 145 again. He’s facing another cardio fighter too. He’s gonna gas out and die again

Big prospect news

UAE warriors has announced Amru magomedov vs alex da silva for the vacant 155 belt at uae warriors 44. Amru is a very high level dagi training out of team nurmagomedov. Not only is he fighting good opposition, but he is making them look amateur. Super super high level grappling. Fighting a former ufc fighter, I imagine ufc is next with a win

Amru is good, yes. He is another basic thai striker who moved to Khabib's team, since he was a friend of Umar
Now, probably 50% of the minimum of the younger generation of khabib's team are friends of Umar and Usman whom they brought to the team.
These Khabib cousins are top scouts

They really are. These prospects they are finding now have high level striking to complement the already very high level wrestling. Love to see the evolution

By the way, holding a UFC tournament in Kazakhstan is a good idea.
there, even their regional promotions with average cards constantly gather halls of 8-10-15 thousand people.
if you bring Shavkat there  then absolutely seriously it will be possible to gather 30-40 thousand spectators and i am not kidding even once

Giom Pelter (head coach/manager of Bulgarian top team) seems to be hinting he has had yet another fighter sign to the ufc. Could be shaj Haque; long time regional vet who is on a big winstreak. Recently defended his cage warriors flyweight belt. He is pretty old but too good to be on regionals. Would be a weird signing but not the worst

Then it could also be Oumar sy. I know sy fights in 16 days but with ufc paris coming up who knows. Now, I doubt ksw would release him from his contract to go to the ufc but one can hope

It’s likely shaj Haque since he fought just recently and doesn’t have a fight coming up

Haque should have been in the UFC flyweights years ago... But I dont think he was ready or something... I saw some of his losses I dunno, im just glad he kept going I always knew he was a good level flyweight, good fitness/stamina.... I hope he can get some paydays and UFC wins before he gets too old/out of prime, been watching him 10 years now or so, crazy...

Haque is the type of good gatekeeper at 125 that the UFC would have more of if they hadn't purged the division back in 2018, doubt he ever comes close to the rankings but he's a good replacement for Tyson Nam

Terrance McKinney taking a short notice return next week. Stepping in to face mike Breeden. I know it’s short notice Terrance and the gameplan to beat him is clear as day, but I would be shocked if he finds a way to lose this one

Breeden's chin is pretty bad though, and he's willing to get in a brawl. I think 1 clean shot from Terrance would end it

@saikou yeah, but he doesn’t move his head & doesn’t have a good chin to begin with. I think Terrance just takes him down and subs him early

He also dominated Nazim in the 1st, so I would be shocked if he loses to Mike Breeden
