Thank you bro. I was losing confidence in my ability to pick fights and now I am sure that some of it was due to not realizing how the MMA judging had changed. I think I am back on track now, though next week will tell the tale!

RDA fought real well and if it wasn't for that late shot, he could have taken that decision.

RDA is about as comfortable in the octagon as I am leaning back in my chair with a beverage watching the fight on my monitor. The man is an absolute savage. Time is running out for him though.

I think it's time for people to realize that fighters like McGregor and Ferguson are no longer going to feature in the category, due to the evolution of the sport and the injuries that have happened to them. Today fighters like Poirier, Gaethje, Benny and Chandler have to defend their positions against the new generation of Lightweights: guys like Fiziev, Gamrot and Tsarukyan who can perfectly fight in both facets (striking and grappling). Fighters who are only strikers and cannot defend takedowns or grapplers who cannot exchange punches will have very little success in the UFC, today the vast majority of ranked fighters can perform in both areas of the fight since this multiplies the amount of options and plans that you can develop during the fight.

Well regardless of the stoppage being testicular cancer, Fiziev impressed me. I really didn't think his cardio would hold up over the long term, but he was as dangerous in R5 as he was in R1.
