Alright folks,

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site.

So here's a place to talk boxing.

Yes Casual, that was a very brutal fight between Hagler and Mugabi, and another that should be seen by any fight fan. Easy to think that did take something out of Hagler.

I fear that you may be correct Casual. Tommy Fury is not very good at all. It's been claimed that he is a credible opponent, an actual "boxer". I'd say Tommy is closer to a D list Celeb than a pro Boxer

I saw Bisping pushing that, I don't know if Bisping's been paying attention to Fumbles' fights but he's looked "raw" to say the least.

Btw its super ironic that they claim Modern Martial Artist is a "petulant child with a big ego" when their response is basically them beating around the bush while bragging about how great their videos are.

I just wanted to say, its funny how many losing journeymen there are from Georgia, they seem to be in fights as underdogs every weekend across Europe, but if you look at the 2022 amateur Europeans results, Georgia finished as the top country with 3 golds and 1 silver, so they clearly have alot of quality aswell... Where are the elite Georgian boxers? I havent seen too many... But there has to be a number of them

BAM the BEAST!!!

In case you missed it

Highlights of last nights amazing breakout performance from Jesse Bam Rodriguez!  This kid is amazing!  Potential to be great. I'd be shocked if he doesn't win World titles in multiple weight classes and is involved in some great fights(1 of the best things about the lightest weight classes in boxing is that all the top guys face each other, in their primes, usually multiple

MJ was pretty good Too!!!

Also last night, Uzbek Unified 122lbs Champion Murodjon Akhmadaliev was very good in dominating then stopping Ronny Rios in the 12th round.

MJ vs Steph Fulton for Undisputed at 122lbs has to happen!!! Unfortunately I am not too confident that PBC will let Fulton fight on DAZN, more boxing politics ********!!!

Still plenty good opponents for them but they are the clear 1 and 2. The fight to decide number 1 should happen

I think PBC will let it happen, everyone and their nan will be confident Fulton comes back with all the belts and with it a Undisputed Champion to promote with a super fight in Inoue on the horizion. I don't think it happens because I think MJ knows it's either Fulton or Inoue and there's no way you don't sit on the belts to hit the sweepstakes by getting to fight the P4P #1.

I am not so sure about Fulton being guaranteed victory vs MJ.
I'd make him favourite but MJ is very, very good.

I don't think that fight would be like Shakur Valdez, where its 1 and 2 but 1 guy is miles ahead. Saying that I may be wrong, I mean I was the ******* who actually picked Valdez!!! Haha

MJ's good but I rate Figueroa a head of him and Fulton was able to neutralized big portions of his offense. Figueroa was struggling to land clean, and I see the samething happening to MJ but worse.  I think Fulton will be the big favorite and it'll be completely the right call.

I had it 115 - 113 Fulton, and I felt like I might've been generous cause I picked Figueroa. But again if Figueroa is struggling to land clean and get his offense going I struggle to how MJ will.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that I had it the opposite, 7-5 in favour of Figueroa. It was a great fight, very close, I always favour attacking, forward pressure, combination punchers so that definitely was a factor for me. But Fulton was great in his own way in that fight too, he was landing some real nice counters, short uppercuts in particular if I'm remembering correctly.

Anyway, regardless of who's the favourite and what we think happens I think we both want to see the fight between Fulton and MJ.

Unfortunately I'm fairly certain that the next fights for them are going to be Luis Nery for Fulton and Marlon Tapales for MJ

Yes Cheese, they are 2 decent fights. Nery is a dangerous BANGER! Former Bantamweight Champion (though I, and many others, don't like how he went over to Japan, missed weight, failed drugs test and KTFOd Japanese legend Yamanaka!)
Tapales is a former World Champion himself and also a guy who goes for the KO.

Like I said, decent. I want great tho!

@Mikey1903

Just a quick question mate. I noticed that there's a IBF World Strawweight Title fight between Rene Mark Cuarto and Daniel Valladares (I'm not gonna pretend that I've heard of either of them lol) at 105lbs this week and just out of curiosity, is that the lowest weight class of the legit world titles? Just curious as I know absolutely jack **** about the really small weight classes like that.

No worries mate.
105lbs is the lowest weight class for the men. BoxRec lists it as Minimumweight, but it's Straweight.

But there is a lower weight classe for women, Atomweight 102lbs, believe it or not some of the women that fight in that weight class weigh in at under 100lbs!!! I've entered a few at 98,99lbs

On the opposite scale of that, the big man, 400lber Conrad Lam is scheduled to box this weekend!!!!

It's crazy how little lower weightclasses like straweight are promoted by major boxing media. Like just a couple month ago there was a rematch between Wanheng Manayothin (the guy temporarily broke mayweathers record) and Panya Pradabsri (the guy who took his 0). Only reason I know this fight happened was cause I misclicked the card on Tap and the only boxing media I saw cover the bout post fight was Boxingscene. A fight that big deserves to be on ESPN or Fox yet non of them give a **** for some odd reason.
