Rozenstruik vs. Gane
Ciryl Gane, TKO, R3
I believe gane will win by 3rd round tko, he will be more active and throw kicks to the leg and body and some jabs and overwhelm jairzinho but don't get me wrong Jairzinho will land some big shots.

Xconchris why do you think that Ankalaev have the advantage on the mat? Krylov take Walker down non stop for 3 rounds and he have many guillotine/rear naked choke on is resume. As for Ankalaev my only memories of his ground was when he tapped faster then a 155pds tap machine under Paul Craig triangle.

I'm not sure that Krylov win this because Ankalaev have stone in his hand but if its goes to the ground, I think its favor Krylov.

@Hippie

Why wanting Gane to get KO? He is talking and performing like GSP without the cherry picking!

@Hyrm, that Paul Craig loss might have opened Ankalaev's eyes not to make a mistake like that again later on in a fight that he is dominating.  He will avoid the ground with Krylov and probably get the KO or Decision through effective striking.

I like Ciryl Gane, Magomed Ankalaev, Angela Hill and Ronnie Lawrence in this card.  Might just moneyline parlay all of them right now.

Talk to me about Ronnie Lawrence.

I like Gane (though I am scared of the KO power in Roze), Ankalaev, and I was looking to fade Menifield because he does not look like a very good fighter, but Knight is basically the same guy.

Hill vs. Yoder II
Ashley Yoder, DEC
Hill looks to be a huge favorite. Huge favorites killed me Saturday, and Yoder is a legit Team Quest badass. If this turns out to be wrong, so be it.

There is an epidemic of guys getting to the UFC with bodies like football players, a round and a half of cardio, who get a highlight reel knockout and then get exposed in their very next fight. Alonzo Menifield, Phil Hawes, Khalil Rountree, Khaos Williams, Impa Kasanganay, Dalcha Lungiambula, even Joaquin Buckley, though I think his ceiling is highest. And I keep being on the wrong side of the outcome gambling-wise. I'm determined to figure out why this dynamic keeps showing up, and I have a theory.

I think a lot of these guys are coming out of Dana White's Contender Series. And I bet how it happens is whoever makes those fights is seeing their regional record on paper and probably just a picture of their weigh in. Just going off aesthetics. They *look* like what you expect a fighter to look like. Then they fight some lanky bjj guy and get exposed, and I get stuck with the bill because I didn't do my homework either...

Ronnie Lawrence seems like a grinder/point fighter and I feel like fading Vince Cachero because I don't think he is UFC material.  I would do a prop bet on Ronnie Lawrence by decision for this card.

Gane isn't going to stand and trade with a guy who knocked out Overeem. Look for him to chip away at that front leg and pull off another submission. Hope he has more patience than Blaydes had with Lewis.

I find it funny how the minumun for being a monster Knockout artest is to knockout Overeem When I say 1/2 of the heavyweight have done it TBH. But for real, Gane should copy what Alistar did beside the last 10 secound

Well, Rozenstruik has had six fights in the UFC and has won five of them by knockout. I'd call that a guy you don't want to stand and trade with - unless you're Francis. YMMV, I suppose.

We'll certainly be putting some money on this fight being finished. Odds are presently 1.25 which still has plenty of value

Jacoby v Grishin

Predictions: 4 of 9 Winners, 2 Perfect, 250 Points   |   Tied for 1956th

Neither of these guys typically go to the mat, so I expect a thoroughly entertaining kickboxing match. Grishin is light on his feet with quick feints, good timing, and good elbows at close range. He’s also quick to throw short punches and elbows when disengaging from the clinch. He’s a little too patient, though, and his inactivity won’t look good against an opponent like Jacoby who likes to advance and throw a pretty consistent volume of strikes. Jacoby has good movement, uses range well, and doesn’t really telegraph his shots (especially early in the fight when he’s most explosive). This makes it a bit more difficult for opponents wanting to counter. It looks like through all of his combat experience he’s learned to keep his opponents guessing; keep them uncomfortable as they back-pedal to get away from his pressure. Also, Jacoby’s volume increases as his opponents near the cage, which increases the likelihood of a knockout unless they clinch up. Grishin is good at clinching and can do a lot of damage on the break, but Jacoby is no slouch in the clinch either. I think for this fight, Jacoby’s pressure and volume (and leg kicks, for that matter) will be tough for Grishin to deal with. Grishin should be able to land some good shots, but Jacoby has shown over his last several fights that he can take it. My only reservation is that Grishin may be the fresher fighter by the third round. Jacoby’s pace can be pretty tiring, and he showed as much in his fight against Ty Flores. Grishin has a lot of experience going into later rounds, and Jacoby may be likely to clinch up to catch his breath. That’s where Grishin can do a lot of damage. However, by then I expect Jacoby to have won the first two rounds. I have Jacoby winning by dec. This’ll be a fun fight!

@Hyrm i was thinking back to his Sambo background and seeing on paper atleast he is more accomplished. You get those grapplers that prefer knocking people out like Ankalaev.

Plus hes Russian and Krylov is from Ukraine. Russia #1
