Anik and Cruz are the commentators this weekend. Hopefully that means Rogan isn't going to make it. Doesn't deserve to watch Adesanya vs Silva after unleashing that 6 foot pile of crap Shaub on society.

The 2 most torturous situations I could think of for me personally, would be:

1) being in a room full of Jon Jones fans.

2) Having to listen to Shaub pretend to know anything about fighting.

Waterboarding seems like a vacation compared to those situations.

If Rob can survive a Cuban missile twice, then he shouldn't have much issue with Gastelum. You never know with MMA though anything can happen all it takes is one Big overhand to drop someone. I'm sticking with  Whittaker by TKO.

That's not a good way of looking at any fight. That's exactly the whimsical knowledge Tenshin fans used when Floyd TKO'd him..."oh well if you can eat a headkick, you can take a punch" simply not true.

"If Aldo didn't get KO'd by Max then how did he get KO'd by Conor" nonsense.

Bigfoot Silva was KOd by the first gust of wind that happened in Russia....but Ivan ****kov threw everything at him including the kitchen sink and couldn't finish him.

Gastelum can KO whittaker. I'm pretty sure he could KO anyone in the division. In fact I'm pretty sure just about anyone can KO anyone at MW in the UFC. I don't think he'll do it for a variety of reasons, not least of which being the fact that Whittaker knows Kelvin can only win by KO. He's not going to go out there like Cyborg did against Nunes, but he could definitely catch Rob in the first two rounds. It would have to be a humdinger of a punch though, or a behind th ear shot. The latter is the most likely to me, as Kelvin is a bit loopy and catching people behind the ear is one of the few perks to throwing loopy punches. See Brunon's KO of Machida.

One thing I definitely didn't enjoy was watching Rob slipping left after throwing combos during the live workouts. I hope that's just ********, because if it isn't that increases his chances of getting KO'ed massively as Gastelum always completes with the left hand. All he has to read that and drop it lower and ka-boom. Why his coaches would be training him to circle in to Gastelum's power arm is completely ******* beyond me.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a huuuuge Kelvin fan but even I have to give the edge to Whittaker. I just don't think it's in any way a landslide. I'd put Kelvin's chances at 43 or 44% with his best chance being a quick opportunistic RNC off of a quick level change and scramble or a knockdown but Whittaker's run over the last few years has been one of if not THE most impressive of any of the champions.

@fish he's practicing slipping to his left because gastelum is left handed so you move to your left to avoid moving into his power. I know you know that for sure. I think u got the direction wrong.

Whittaker vs gastelum
Gastelum Ko rd.1
I feel Rob is very hitable and Gastelum catches him early.

Silva vs Adesanya
Adesanya Ko rd.2
I suspect there will be alot of feeling each other out in the first round
so I expect the fireworks to go off in round two. I know even in the twilight of his career silva is one of the best fighters period. Adesanya is just at his prime and silva is not it's that simple.
I do hope silva hurts him at some point so we can see his heart tested.
And I would love it if this fight went the distance.

Yahya vs Simon
Yahya choke sub rd.1
I agree with bradthom simon's wrestling and any takedowns he attempts plays into yahya's hands
Very winnable fight for yahya.

De la rosa vs kassem
De la rosa choke sub rd.2
Too much too soon for kassem. Even though their both only 23 de la rosa has more fights against more real fighters. Her last three loses are to former champion nicco montano, current contender Cynthia calvillo and up and coming star/hype train Mackenzie "I miss weight by eight pounds" Dern.
On the other hand except for chambers everyone who kassem has fought were 0-0
with one exception who was 0-4 AKA soup cans for her to crush. de la rosa ain't no soup can.

@Bruce My point to what I said is that I think Romero brings alot more to the table than Gastelum does. Romero is a beast of wrestler with just as much if not more power than Gastelum. I'm not saying he can't win just saying only way I see it happening is if he catches whittaker early.

Am I missing something? Was there no official weigh ins only ceremonial done officially?
Whittaker and gastelum both look like really small middle weights. Adesanya's gonna knock out the winner and take the belt in his very next fight after he retires silva. Kassem blew de la rosa a kiss. Classic sign of weakness and fear. And she's got a big nose/target. Bet it gets broken tomorrow.

Australia still uses the old weigh-in procedure. Yet another example of how little Dana White & the UFC actually control.

@fish I thought Whittaker looked great gastelum looked like a castaway who just got rescued.
