Paul Daley (28-11-2) v. Luigi Fioravanti (20-10) (Welterweights)
Round 1- Daley landed a solid jab and defended a takedown from Fioravanti in the first two minutes of the round. Daley continued to measure his opponent and land a good jab and a leg kick. Daley landing a jumping knee to Fioravanti’s body then defended a takedown attempt. Daley landed a knee to the face and a punch to the body and managed to block and avoid the majority of his opponent’s strike attempts. Daley landed a variety of strikes and dominated the first round. We score round 1 for Paul Daley: 10-9
Round 2- Daley continued to land a stiff jab and avoid the takedown attempts by Fioravanti. Daley landed heavy knees to the body of Fioravanti that dropped him but Fioravanti kept fighting and landed some punches on Daley. Daley avoided any real damage and score with knees and punches to the face of Fioravanti. Daley attempted a head kick that caused both men to slip. Daley then landed some punches before Fioravanti got back to his feet. We score Round 2 for Paul Daley: 10-9

daley has improved his TDD. he stopped many of T-Woods takedown tries in that SF fight they had and that guy is a very good wrestler.

Round 3- Daley landed a solid leg kick that visibly hurt Fioravanti in the opening minute of the final round. Fioravanti attempted to jump guard a few times but Daley did not follow him to the mat and forced Fioravanti to get back up. Daley stalked forward with his hands down in the final 90 seconds but was unable to score the knockout, much to the dismay of the Montreal crowd. We score Round 3 for Paul Daley: 10-9
