UFC Statement

So, can we just give GSP the GOAT moniker now? I mean, come on now.

Oh, and Diaz failed a post-fight test for weed, which is irrelevant.

As Cthulhu said, except for Chael who openly admitted he took everything he got popped for, all the other responses basically fall into 2 categories:

1. I didn't take anything, I'm innocent! (I have no idea why it showed on the test.)
2. My doctor/pharmacist/coach/sparring partner/uncle/neighbour gave me something and never told me there was anything banned in it! (I never checked what I was taking because reasons.)

Would that mean Jones couldn't do coke anymore? Doubt that will happen.

Talking about drug tests. What was Jon Jones results from his post fight test?  Is anyone else kinda interested?  I mean his prior test was 5th of a normal mans t levels, I wonder if his post fight results were still low. Does anyone else have any information on the results of both his and cormiers post fight tests?

@Cthulhu That was pretty much Pride's philosophy and it worked out great for them. In fact they have been revered by fans as ideal. Really I've learned we really don't care if fighters (or athletes in general) are on steroids as long as they aren't caught.  It's safe to say the steroid use level in Pride was pushing 99% but as long as we don't know for sure we can always convince ourselves that our favorite fighter was clean.

Do you guys actually believe Jones, Weidman and Rousey are completely clean? Because chances are at least one of those is juiced to the gills.

Weidman and Aldo keep having to drop out because of "injuries".

Jon Jones suddenly has 1/4 the testosterone of a regular male.

GSP starts pushing for stricter testing as soon as he is accused, shrinks visibly and looks a lot weaker in his next fight, and then retires.

The examples go on and on. And to be honest, if one of those guys pisses hot I won't be disappointed, nor will I say it detracts from their accomplishments. If everyone is on it, no one is (competition-wise. I know some of the nasty long-term effects). My jiu-jitsu teacher told me one year ago that if someone is highly ranked in the UFC, that person is on something. And it looks more true with each fight.

EDIT: Same thing with no-gi grappling and Pride.

Until they pop dirty. they have to get what is called the benefit of the doubt. You cant play the "you dont think" card when somebody else pops dirty. Silva did, Bones, Weidman, Rousey and Aldo didnt....

I am not saying either one of those is definitely on it, I am just saying that if you pick a random guy from the Top 10 there is a pretty good chance he is on something. If you pick three random guys one of those most likely is.

Whatever is being done to combat steroids in MMA it has clearly not been working. And does the UFC even want the sport to be clean? Jack Slack had it right: "There's a reason the UFC stopped additional testing. Higher costs, more injury drop outs. Paying to ruin your own fights"

This right here tells you Jon was on something. For a pro athlete to suddenly have T levels that low alarm bells should go off. Where there is smoke there is fire.

Yeah you have to assume most of the guys having success have used something that's banned at one time or another. The UFC just doesn't have the infrastructure that other pro sports have, so it's way easier to not get caught. But really it's hard to think of it as a massive problem for me, just because it's clear that the most skilled fighters win. I assume that everyone is on about the same level of stuff, since I'm assuming each fighter has an equal chance at not getting caught.
