None of the articles have pointed out also that Androstane (while it could've been metabolized from a DHEA or DHT) is still also a PAM (Positive Allosteric Modulator) which would increase the Drostanolone's efficacy and potency by up to double by amplifying the effect any anabolic steroid agonist like Drostanolone would have on your receptors. I think the accident was getting caught.
I was following ya @Griffy, I was just surprised no article I've seen has pointed out that one PED he popped for can effectively be used to double the efficiency of the other. I was just noticing most articles treated it like a completely random two PED's with some articles saying the Androstane wouldn't have done anything as if a case was being made for accidental use because of what they were. I wasn't implying anything at all about your post before mine if it sounded that way.
I know that andro is a controlled substance in America, but could it be possible that it's not in Brazil?
Cuz I was thinking that I would be more likely to believe a guy if he accidentally took a banned diuretic, because there's some over the counter products in America that contain banned diuretics.
About 10 years ago, Lindsey Hunter on the Pistons tested positive for a banned diuretic and he said it was from an OTC product, so he thought it was ok for him to take (you can choose to believe him or not)

All steroids, pro-hormones, and designer variations are illegal in Brazil just like the US. There's just less punishment for the same infraction Brazil vs. US. There are dozens upon dozens of countries with no laws on them so they're not hard to get. I think they're legal in the UK(?) as if you were buying aspirin. Someone across the pond correct me if I'm wrong. There are still products that hit the market multiple times yearly in the states with ingredients on the PED watch list that are illegal and they sell them until they're told not to. The FDA really isn't the slickest bunch. Some of the designer variations can metabolize in your body into a metabolite of a steroid like Stanozolol even if it isn't on the label, because it doesn't become Stanozolol until your body metabolizes it. I don't know a designer ingredient that metabolizes into Stanozolol, just was using an example that it isn't that hard to take something unknowingly on the PED list even after checking ingredients but I don't know of anything that would metabolize into a full-blown anabolic steroid like Dianabol, Superdrol, Drostanolone, etc. which is one of the ones Anderson tested positive for and it being the 3rd time in the last 6 months in the UFC a Black House member has popped for Drostanolone just makes it look worse.
My buddy runs a vitamin shop and I can go there and get like 10 different kinds of prohormones right over the counter. Superdrol being the most common.
Speaking of diuretics, caffeine has been on the WADA watch list for a few years now because it's the strongest unbanned common diuretic. Not that they could ever ban it, it's not like it works as well as likely all the banned diuretics, but it's humorous that they actually monitor it for data purposes with every urine sample collected.
