UFC Statement

So, can we just give GSP the GOAT moniker now? I mean, come on now.

Oh, and Diaz failed a post-fight test for weed, which is irrelevant.

I wanted Silva to retire after the fight, but going away like this is sad, I agree that this doesn't tarnish his legacy but in the end, everyone is going to remember he popped for PED's on his last fight. I wonder what the UFC will do if Anderson still doesn't want to retire.

they really should stop looking for weed metabolites, it's just stupid, especially after the coke fiasco

The only fighter i'd care about getting busted for PED's would be Penn.

would probably be disappointed if Edgar did too.

other than that; i don't care.

Umm, barry bonds was a Hall of famer before steroids, but 2 he built his name on real steroids, his head was 3 times the size and he was like a solid rock. Anderson looks exactly the ******* same he always has.

Also Anderson's fighting style has always been way more about muscle control and hand eye coordination, something steroids have absolutely zero effect on

Also the first time he had tested positive, go ahead and draw conclusions but he had never tested positive prior and that's fact.

Barry Bonds was one of the greatest hitters of all time even before the steroid allegations, steroids allowed him to take the next step as a power hitter but he was always considered an amazing batter.

This has a small effect on Anderson Silva's "legacy" to me. I've never viewed him as the greatest of all time, so that's sort of irrelevant.

Nobody is saying Anderson Silva's skills were all a result of roids.

But people assuming Silva never used prior are doing the same thing as me, which is assuming he always used.

Occam's razor would suggest he was always using, along with Franklin's point, that this is the only time (I checked) Silva has been blood tested out of competition.

Well you're sort of a bonafide idiot to say that. Anderson is absolutely undoubtedly the greatest of all time and if you think otherwise I mean, I'd like to be nice but you're basically a dumbass.

Looks like Anderson will now have to retire, he said so himself. Article from 2010

Highlights:

This is not bad for me, this is bad for the sport. People around the world love the UFC, but the kids love the UFC, and the families love UFC. It’s bad for the sport. I don’t think this is good because the sport can change the lives of the kids and the people in the world. When the guys test for the steroids, it’s bad because this is a problem. It’s bad not just for the UFC, but for the sport.”

When the guys test for the steroids, (they should have) no more fights, When you use the steroids, you use them for a long time. When you use the steroids for a long time, you have a problem. It’s a drug and it’s not good for the sport.”

OMG.

Same people who bag on Vitor for using roids are now saying they didn't contribute to Anderson's power or strength.
