Predictions: 6 of 9 Winners, 3 Perfect, 400 Points   |   Tied for 85th

WSOF 4 kicks off tonight from Citizens Bank Arena in Ontario, California.

In the main event, kickboxing sensation Tyrone Spong (1-0) looks to keep the short streak alive against striker Angel DeAnda (11-2). The co-main sees Marlon Moraes (10-4-1) take on Brandon Hempleman (9-1) at 135.

In other main card action, WSOF President and former kickboxer Ray Sefo (2-1) meets Dave Huckaba (20-5), while one-armed sensation Nick Newell (9-0) meets Keon Caldwell (9-1). Kicking off the main card is a great lightweight tilt between Tyson Griffin (16-6) and JZ Cavalcante (17-7-1).

Even the preliminary card has some names worth watching, including Jorge Santiago, Gerald Harris (Okay, so not always worth watching), Jared Papazian and Lewis Gonzalez.

Main card airs live in the U.S. on NBC Sports Network at 1030pm ET after prelims stream on MMAJunkie, Sherdog and WSOF's Official Site at 8pm ET. For international markets, the player will reset for a free stream of the main card.

EDIT: The WSOF video player has been embedded into the Tapology Event Page. You don't have to leave us after all :)

Props to WSOF's matchmaker.  The fights between the name fighters were competitive and he managed to find game unknowns to push one of their best fighters (Moraes) and one of their best "prospects" (Spong, can he be called a prospect with his age and experience at the highest levels of combat sports, not to mention the fact he headlined the card?) without putting either in any real danger.

Does Spong know what a combination is? I think his corner should've informed him that they are generally good to use. In all seriousness, pretty disappointing fight from Spong in my opinion.

Agreed OldManGloom. Solid match-making. Gotta give props to both DeAnda and Hempleman for hangin in there. Both will have a miserable week though.

Spong looked good, but still hard to gage him on this fight. They picked a solid brawler to brawl with a world champion kickboxer. Hard to know how he'd fare against better competition.

I know I'll catch flak for it, but I don't particularly like the K-1/Thai style of striking. It's effective as hell but relies too much on blocking, etc. I don't like the lack of movement and diversity.

yeah Spong used proper angling so he'd still get hit but it reduced the damage to him big time.  Jack Slack has an article about that.   i think it's good for Tyrone to get a fight with someone like Angel to put him in a tough fight, to open him up a bit to MMA and how it will feel in the fight.  Getting him comfortable in the cage.

Also i'd like to see Moraes vs. Dillashaw. or Erik Perez would be nice. i do think he should stay in WSOF though so that he can be their lighter weight star.  i don't get why more people don't talk about Josh Burkman he subbed Fitch, decisioned Harris, and KTFO'd Simpson.

Moraes proved he was the real deal to me with the way he fought Miguel Torres, so I'm not surprised by the shellacking he put on his opponent tonight (only surprising thing was that he didn't get the finish). Would absolutely love for the UFC to bring him in to fight Brad Pickett, Ivan Menjivar, or the loser of Faber/Alcantara.

Moares has one more fight for WSOF and will likely finish his contract. He has great talent at a good weight. training with Frankie  Edgar and his coaches has helped him greatly and he will be a contender by late next year in the UFC.

As much as I want to see Sponge tested against a grappler, I hope WSOF keeps him fighting fighters who have Striking favored approaches. By the time he gets to 5-0, they should throw a grappler in with him and see where he is at. Also De Anda, though defeated is a solid prospect that should think about dropping to middleweight with a guy like dolce..

Well to most MMA fans/fighters that's the only way to defend. ducking and slipping punches seem to be a bizarre maneuver to like 90% of fighters and MMA fans. putting your hands up and backing straight up for whatever reason is like the only logical choice.

Stipe and Aldo are some of the only ones that do it.

Aldo has the Thai style, but he throws in explosive, unpredictable moves as well and uses expert boxing. Much better boxing than the K-1 fighters. To me, K-1 fighters hit each other until they break through the other's defenses. There isn't much in terms of feints, changes in direction or angles.

Aldo is a mast of angles. It looks like he's staying still, but next time he fights, watch the way he constantly shifts his angle to whichever direction his opponent is moving so he can be ready to counter. The best example of this is his fight with Frankie Edgar.
