I thought having a thread deadicated to Beer (and beer related stories) would be a good idea.

enough said.

I LOVE BEER, and that's an understatment. I don't drink as much (or as often) as I used to, I don't drink to get drunk (that's just  a happy coincidence), I never drink (more than a couple of beers) and drive, however I rarely pass an opportunity to have a cold one. I like all kinds of beers, but my favorites are the dark ones, bitter and with a strong taste.

I would like to know about the good beers of your side of the world, which are your favorites and whatever stories you'd like to share.

I won't even try to make a rank because that'd be impossible and probably would lead me to madness, but I'll mention some of the ones I like the most

Victoria (Mexican)
Choppe (Mexican
Bohemia(Mexican)
Negra Modelo (Mexican)
Cucapah Obscura (Mexican micro brewery)
Lowenbrau (German)
Heineken (Netherland)
Steel Reserve 211 (USA)
Bavaria (Netherland)
Foster's (Australia or England; depends how you see it)
Samuel Adams Imperial Stout (USA) I've tried it twice it was great but a bit overwhelming

@legacy Brahma is Brazilian,it's fairly similar to Sol so I doubt you would like it! I haven't been drinking beer for that long so i'm not into very strong beers as of yet...
Some more:

Bulmers (Yes it's a cider but it's good ****)
Guinness
Smithwicks

To add to Jaffa's list (all of it above):
Newcastle Brown Ale
Schwarzersteiger
Bitburger
Radeberger
Yeungling
Budweiser Budvar (the original Budweiser from the Czech Republic)
Woodchuck (best American cider I've found)

Weirdest: Lump of Coal. It was so dark you had to practically eat it.

I'm partial to Buffalo Sweat.  Enjoying a Red Hook IPA at the moment.  I'm VERY excited that my state's governor JUST TODAY signed a bill agreeing to allow 8% ABV beer to be sold in state (Mississippi has ridiculous alcohol laws and limitations; until today beer had to be 5% ABV or under to be sold).

Highly recommended. Belgium blonde ale I believe. I'm not really into the IPAs and the more bitter stuff. Leffe has the most unique taste of any bear I've had to date.

Also a big fan of Allagash White. A lighter ale, but with a lot of flavor.

I have a huge beer collection. Over 300 beers from around the world and no domestic mass produced **** unless it was a special bottle or some **** (only a few). I will post some pics tomorrow. Beat at the moment, just drove 4 hours home from California.

You guys have to try Dogfish Head, but avoid their peach micro brew.  If I had to guess what my favorite DFH is, I'd say raison d'etre.  If I had to say right now what my favorite beer that I ever tasted was, I'd have to say Southern Tier's Creme Brule Stout.  It's a dark beer with a very unique taste and is 10% abv.

Pretty much anything Sierra Nevada is solid.  Absolutely love the Ruthless Rye and Torpedo IPA.  Shock Top has been a good selection lately, as it's a blend between wheat and IPA.  I also love a lot of Sam Adams, especially the Boston Lager, Summer Ale, and Octoberfest.  Since moving to NC, I've found that the Carolinas have some amazing brews as well.  Highland brews an awesome stout, Carolina Brewing Company has Carolina Pale Ale, a very tasty pale ale.

Mentioned last, but certainly not least -- Left Hand Milk Stout.  IMO, the king of all stouts.  By far the smoothest most tasty stout I've ever had.  Followed closely by Young's Double Chocolate Milk Stout.

@mmaprodigy, that sounds amazing.  I'll have to try and find it.
@soccerkick, I did hear that.  Looking forward to visiting the brewery when it's finished.  Most breweries do a tour, and let you try several of their beers for free once you pay the tour fee.
