I thought having a thread deadicated to Beer (and beer related stories) would be a good idea.

enough said.

I LOVE BEER, and that's an understatment. I don't drink as much (or as often) as I used to, I don't drink to get drunk (that's just  a happy coincidence), I never drink (more than a couple of beers) and drive, however I rarely pass an opportunity to have a cold one. I like all kinds of beers, but my favorites are the dark ones, bitter and with a strong taste.

I would like to know about the good beers of your side of the world, which are your favorites and whatever stories you'd like to share.

I won't even try to make a rank because that'd be impossible and probably would lead me to madness, but I'll mention some of the ones I like the most

Victoria (Mexican)
Choppe (Mexican
Bohemia(Mexican)
Negra Modelo (Mexican)
Cucapah Obscura (Mexican micro brewery)
Lowenbrau (German)
Heineken (Netherland)
Steel Reserve 211 (USA)
Bavaria (Netherland)
Foster's (Australia or England; depends how you see it)
Samuel Adams Imperial Stout (USA) I've tried it twice it was great but a bit overwhelming

I guess we might as well revive this thread, since the UFC event threads typically turn into a fun beer discussion anyway, haha.

To go along with the theme of the thread, some of my favorite beers include (not in order):

Shock Top Honeycrisp Apple Wheat
Smuttynose Old Brown Dog
Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout
Leinenkugel Snowdrift Vanilla Porter

I also enjoy most Sam Adams beers, Molson Canadian, Hofbrau Dunkel, Blue Point Toasted Lager, 21st Amendment Hell or High Watermelon, Wells Banana Bread Beer, Landshark, and most Shock Top brews.

Smuttynose makes some great brews.

See if you can find anything from GreatLakes brewery your way. Very quality not often talked about.

I brought home a Squall IPA and Miles Davis ******* Brew from dogfish brewery this weekend.

The Squall is great. Similar to the 90min a bit dryer tho.

The Miles is not what I typically drink these days but an old time favorite.

It's like two parts imperial stout one part honey with mocha, coffee and chocolate notes all over it. It's a ******* treat.

If you're a fan of that album (one of the best ever made) the cover art is also on the bottle, which is pretty cool.

The MD ******* Brew sounds great and the Squall sounds like a nice fruity IPA.

Speaking of chocolatey beers, I just tried Sam Adams Cream Stout for the first time, which is delicious.

Left Hand Brew's Nitro Milk Stout
Avery's Dictator Series
Southern Tier's Tripel Cafe
Sam Adams' Boston Lager
Guinness

As of recently, I am trying a lot of foreign beers as well as microbrews.

Sam Adams makes a lot of good brews. Boston Lager, Cream Stout, Old Fezziwig Ale, Chocolate Bock, Harvest Pumpkin, Octoberfest, Summer Ale, Holiday Porter, etc.

GreenHornet, are there other Sam Adams batches I should be on the lookout for?

@dtrain I usually keep to the Boston Lager and their seasonal beers.  One thing, however, that I seriously recommend from them is their Angry Orchard cider series.  It is an awesome refreshing alternative to beer.

@GreenHornet Oh yeah, I've had a few of those. They're pretty good! I like apple beers like the Shock Top one I mentioned above as well as Red's Apple Ale. It may not have the best reputation, but I enjoy apple, so...

Definitely try some of those Sam Adams I mentioned above, they're great. Especially the Cream Stout if you like chocolate/coffee beer (as you do evidenced by the Guinness). The Bros beer reviewers give it a world class rating.

I'm not too big on Sam Adams but will drink when best available. Sam Smiths is dank!

If you like stouts try Stones imperial Russian stout. Everything from their IPA to their arrogant bastard ale is top notch

Rogue Shakespeare is another must have for stout fans. Live the Hazelnut, Juniper and mocha porter too. They have tons of good beer.

I had a couple nice IPA last night too. Gone away IPA was amazing.

New Belgium citridel tangerine ipa was a nice treat.

Palate shifter imperial IPA was also the tits.

I will be on the lookout for some of those next time I go to our local pub! The Hazlenut one sounds good.

I also came across a Southern Tier Creme Brulee stout online last night that I need to try.

Nice!  I got a couple guys who either own/run/manage a couple bars and a distributor. I have them special order me beers that are hard to get. There's sure to be some great beer gardens around most areas now a day.

If any of you guys have access to 3 Floyds brewing company, try them out. Unfortunately, not only don't the distribute to Philly, but anywhere in PA.  That really chaps my ass, as Zombie Dust IPA might be the best of all time. I've had them outta state and called the brewery...everything. Just can't get them out here.

I <3 beer

I like Salvator and a Hefeweizen both brewed by Paulaner, great beers.
another one I could recomend is Strong Suffolk vintage ale. its a great beer, its a mix of  a strong ale aged  2 years and a BPA. this presentation is the original but in the States you can find it as Olde Suffolk too. I've only seen it in bevmo, if you come across it give it a shot.
