I LOVE BEER, and that's an understatment. I don't drink as much (or as often) as I used to, I don't drink to get drunk (that's just a happy coincidence), I never drink (more than a couple of beers) and drive, however I rarely pass an opportunity to have a cold one. I like all kinds of beers, but my favorites are the dark ones, bitter and with a strong taste.
I would like to know about the good beers of your side of the world, which are your favorites and whatever stories you'd like to share.
I won't even try to make a rank because that'd be impossible and probably would lead me to madness, but I'll mention some of the ones I like the most

Samuel Adams Imperial Stout (USA) I've tried it twice it was great but a bit overwhelming

This is probably the most potent beer I've every had. 14.5% I found it at a little bar near me that had it on a cask. $8 for an 8 oz. pour. Took me an hour to drink it. I've had it in a bottle too.

I just saw "The Beer and Other Elixirs" so I thought I'd share some of my favorites, that's all. I don't have anything against alcohol.

Also:
Four Roses is the best whiskey/bourbon I have ever had. I went on a tour and they were giving some samples at the end of their higher end stuff. That **** was smooth going in, lots of taste, the alcohol was not overpowering, and it had no burn or after taste. It felt like an experience unto itself. On top of it all of the bourbon we sampled was 50% alcohol by volume or more which surprised the **** out of me since it didn't taste that way one bit.
