Obviously I'm rooting for my Texan here and I think he'll get it done. I don't think it will be easy however and this fight should be fireworks

I've not seen Charriere dominate a fight against good competition. He's too much of an NPC in the octagon to do that. Very reserved generally. Win a decision though, I favor that slightly. I think it will be scrappy.

Hernandez vs. Jackson
Alexander Hernandez, TKO
Don't really like Hernandez at 145 but Jackson is so shot worn

Charriere vs. Mariscal
Chepe Mariscal, DEC
Charriere does not belong in the UFC. Chepe Mariscal has shown some skill, so I'll take him by UD.

McGee vs. Morono
Alex Morono, TKO, R1
This a no-brainer, an obvious one. Morono is most confident pick on this card, hammered him at good odds. This fight could however extend to more then a round but following McGee's last few I think it's over for him and possibly quickly. You can see his age getting to him, looking slow and getting chinned, you know it's over for you when an old Matt Brown knocks you out. Morono is the younger guy, who is more well-rounded (he has solid power, slick boxing & he's good on the ground). McGee has no power - no ko's in his UFC career, he will probably stick to taking him down and that can be concerning but I believe Morono will have the skillset to deal with it. McGees last sub was in 2010 & Morono has never even been subbed before. If the fight extends, cardio wise it favors Morono aswell. Alex last fight was underwhelming but truth be told it's not that Morono sucked against Buckley (he did drop 3 however) but it was because JQB has gotten too good. McGee right now is a shell of his former self and is knocking on retirements door. Morono will jump to -600 ~ by the time fight day comes.

Allen vs. Curtis II
Chris Curtis, TKO, R2
Allen has improved since getting KO'd by Curtis and there is a simple blueprint to beat Curtis which is stay on the outside & stick & move. Allen doesn't fight like that & still has bad striking defense.

Hernandez vs. Jackson
Alexander Hernandez, DEC
Hernandez should defend the grappling and light up Jackson on the feet because Jackson has the striking of a drunk randy marsh but Hernandez could 100% fumble the bag and get subbed in the 3rd round

Bahamondes vs. Giagos
Ignacio Bahamondes, SUB, R2
Giagos loses to anyone with any type of talent.

Brzeski vs. Walker
Valter Walker, TKO, R1
Brzeski trash

Peek vs. Campbell
Charlie Campbell, TKO, R2
Peek has heart but is overall terrible. I like the boxing of Campbell

McGee vs. Morono
Alex Morono, SUB, R2
Court McGee is a corpse

Dumont vs. de Randamie
Norma Dumont, DEC
Id probably pick GDR if she wasn't 39 and wasn't on a 3.5 year layoff

Hernandez vs Jackson

Predictions: 4 of 7 Winners, 1 Perfect, 240 Points   |   Tied for 4350th

Anyone have thoughts on Hernandez taking this fight at 145? Looks like he's jumping up and down between featherweight and lightweight, which is a bit concerning for a fire hydrant like Alex Hernandez. He also has no wins at featherweight in the UFC... at first glance I would def pick him over Damon Jackson but the weight thing makes me pause

@1800gambler I hate Hernandez at 145 but I think he has all the skills to style on Damon Jackson without losing too badly. Also, his cardio held up pretty well against algeo so that’s promising

I'm pretty confident in Hernandez. Damon Jackson is past his prime and a step down in competition from what he's faced at 145 so far

Anyone else think Argueta is a live dog against Matsumoto? Matsumoto looked great on the Contender Series, but he fought a wrestler that for some reason forgot he was a wrestler? The few times he did wrestle he was able to get him to the mat though. Styles make fights and Argueta is going to relentlessly hunt for takedowns.

@Latrel Dog
Glad I'm not alone. I'm always skeptical of picking Contender Series alums unless they looked special or are fighting a can in their debut. Argueta definitely isn't a can, but Matsumoto looked good so I'm torn. When it's a toss up fight for me I usually lean the wrestler over the striker

This card has some absolutely fabulous betting spots

@DevinM34

I was surprised to find that he was such a significant dog - or a dog at all.
He didn't impress me in DWCS. He fought a guy whose best win is vs a 2-3 guy in LFA(who went on to be an impressive 3-5)... and even though he clearly won his dwcs fight he didn't really dominate or get close to a finish. The can even had his moments against him, most notably being able to take him down several times and control him.

I put down a sizable bet on argueta. Fading DWCS debuts is +EV in the first place.

I think Matsumoto vs Argueta is really close. Argueta has had a lot of moments where he looks terrible but also moments where he shows a lot of promise. The main reason I picked against Matsumoto on dwcs was because he fought Kasey Tanner, an accomplished wrestler who looked very good everywhere. He didn’t wrestle as much as I expected (later found out he was sick so he couldn’t wrestle) but Matsumoto looked very solid on the ground & didn’t panic when taken down. Argueta’s only skill is pressure wrestling, so I am worried this will end up how I expected the dwcs fight to go. If Argueta can’t get it to the mat, he’s ******. I will say, I didn’t like how Matsumoto was shelling up to counter but he’s not going to face much resistance on the feet here. Argueta has no striking at all besides having some power; if he can’t get the td he’s going to get lit up like an Xmas tree

TL:DR I rate Matsumoto highly and think he’s much better than Argueta. But, Argueta is a bad style matchup for Matsumoto. He should be the fav but definitely could lose this one

Someone help me out please. Was Budka that guy on Contender Series who had that really boring fight but Dana felt bad for him and signed him anyway? And then he cried?
