It's actually a little surprising he is ranked for so long when his best wins are probably that Sumudaerji fight, a past his prime Luis Smolka, or a before his prime Jonathan Martinez. Schnell is an exciting fighter and that is probably the best thing I can say about him.

I guess we get back to the discussion of flyweights and why they all rematch each other constantly, there's just not enough of them. That's probably why Schnell was able to stay ranked all these years.

Eryk Anders, SUB, R2
Not much to say here, Pickett could actually win minutes on the feet here with his striking and probably more technically sound on the feet than Anders. He's just not UFC class though and Anders is steady. Anders appears to be grappling alot more and expect him to work his wrestling and potentially get a submission late?
Oliveira vs. Sopaj
Benardo Sopaj, TKO, R1
Volatile fight, I keep flipping back and forth on this one. I want to fade Oliveria, especially against a counter striker which Bernardo is but don't know if this is the spot. Vinicius leaves himself wide open to being countered, although does throw heavy and is dangerous. He might be much bigger than Bernardo (Weigh in's)? but Bernardo is good and trains out of a good gym. Travelling from Sweeden on under a week notice is no mean feat though so don't know how he will look. Fight not to go distance logical bet.
Basharat vs. Zahabi
Javid Basharat, DEC
I'm a big fan of Basharat. However, this is a very underrated fight because how everyone **** on Zahabi for being low volume and not fighting, he is very defensively sound both on the feet and grappling. In saying that I do think Basharat can mix in the volume on the feet with the odd takedown to win a decision. I have a feeling that Javid will come out more aggressive than usual as to fight the better opposition at 135lbs, he needs a finish on his resume. I don't think he gets it unless he just breaks Zahabi with cardio, which is not really his game. Zahabi probably KO/Bust, would be interesting to see the line on that because it could be a crazy price.
Duncan vs. Ribeiro
Christian Leroy Duncan, TKO, R2
I think CLD wins but I'm not rushing to take him at these odds. CLD on the feet has a wide range of striking weapons on the feet. I wouldn't say he has one punch power but it's the weapons you don't expect (Knee/Elbow/Spin Kick that are his kill shot). He appears to anti-wrestle kind of well although I do suspect if he does get taken down he could get controlled against a good grappler. Ribeiro to me is leg kick KO/Bust. He does fire them in quite heavy but when he blitzes into range he is chin up and no defence. He might try and wrestle early but that will only drain on his cardio. Add the fact that Kopylov kicked his head to Russia and you'd have to be concerned by his durability.
Klein vs. Cunningham
Ľudovít Klein, SUB, R2
Ludovit should win here however he wants. Being a southpaw against an orthodox fighter his straight left hand will be open for business (Especially consideing AJ's defence) but more importantly his left high kick. I haven't seen him go to it a great deal in his last few fights but he went on a tear with it a few years back. I suspect he might try and mix in the grappling early as he's done in the past few fights and he is 50/50 with KO and Sub finishes so a submission could be on the cards. Not much to say about AJ, he's in on short notice, has gone life and death with cans on the regional scene and questionable gas-tank.
Radzhabov vs. Al-Selwady
Abdul-Kareem Al-Selwady, DEC
Tricky fight. Would like to see Loik at the weigh ins before I get too confident in who I'll pick. Loik will have the size advantage here which may bode well for his wrestling. I don't know enough of Al-Selwady to know about his anti-wrestling or BJJ but one thing I do note is Loik isn't really a control grappler. Both have red flags but I think Al-Selwady will be steady enough on the feet to chalk up enough damage for a decision. Loik has too many red flags in the sense his cardio is average and he's never recognised the calf kick well.
