Flick retired for like 3 years and then looks like the worst flyweight on the roster in his return, I fade him against anyone who isn't a jobber like Shannon Ross, And even still Shannon Ross want to be a fighter

Edit, Flick is higher then Charles Johnson on tapology flyweight ranking. That don't make any sense, Go watch that fight, People need to stop being silly

Has JR lost his steam? He used to be arguing with people even if he was wrong, I liked that about him he was ******* relentless.
JR jokes are not hitting if he is staying radio silent.

I think Argueta has the skills to beat somebody like Lawrence but picking him here is pretty much a shot in the dark. I have no idea if he'll be able to translate what he's been able to do so far in the UFC down a weight class. Lawrence will smother him but I think Argueta can definitely make this competitive. However, if he starts to fade even the slightest he is dead to rights.

I would probably feel much more confident taking Argueta if he wasn't fighting an absolute grappling machine. I think he's really scrappy and a good signing for the UFC. If I'm being honest though, this is about as tough a first fight at BW as they could have possibly given him. I'm saying that as somebody who doesn't even rate Lawrence as high as some others do. I think he's pretty one dimensional, but he's exceptional at that one dimension. I just don't know that he'll ever be ranked like some think he will be.

I'm 100% in agreeance with what many have been saying: Lawrence and the over in this fight should be hammered.

I picked Lawrence vs Saidyokub, that's how high I was on him. Turned out that was a bridge too far but I still think Lawrence is a prospect. Makes it even more hilarious that Saidyokub was cut from the UFC.

It makes about as much sense as me seeing Timur Valiev every week on TUF standing in line with a bunch of bum amateurs.

Argueta was pretty good in the regionals as a 135er, but I just think he’s a little too green for the ufc. Makes a lot of stupid mistakes & eventually he’s gonna get ktfo for rushing in with his chin up all the time

But sometimes you gotta realize there is no point in arguing. Like it does nothing good for me

Argueta's chin is too massive to not be pointing in all directions at once.

Surprisingly I think the fight may be won on the feet, not with the wrestling. And Lawrence has the better striking imo

U4.5 is +145 on DK. Is it worth a solid play?

With Cannonier being 39 years old, at some point you have to wonder when/if he will start to fade and will it be this fight? On the opposite side he has some serious power and has KO'd people in HW and LHW, if he were to land some shots on Vettori like Dolidze did... he might go out.

I want to pull the trigger, but Vettori hasn't got a finish since June 2020.

Don't do it, Vettori is one of the most pillowfisted MWs on the roster. He is also very disciplined with his defense and doesn't take much risks. He's also not known as a grappling finisher.
Too much risk on that line.

I have a weird feeling about a high finish potential for this card. Most confident being Tsarukyan of course and I see Costa breaking Flick but we'll see! I also see Bukauskas starting us off with a 1st round finish with that momentum from the Pedro fight

Vettori's game will be nullified?

Predictions: 9 of 12 Winners, 1 Perfect, 505 Points   |   Tied for 577th

I don't think Vettori can do anything to worry Cannonier. Vettori is a decent wrestler, but taking down Canonier is like trying to take down a brick wall. Canonier is a pretty intelligent and powerful striker, while Marvin is pretty much only an ok boxer who now kicks a little. Not much power either. I don't see Vettori being able to worry Canonier with any part of his game, since he's outdone in everything except the offensive grappling, which he very likely won't be able to get going. Maybe his cardio/output and chin will let him just press forward
