Guys like Pogues, Sakai, and Mayes are the reason why light heavyweights decide to get really fat and turn into a true heavyweight when they would be a lot more successful at light heavyweight

Allen is playing himself if his gameplan is to show that he has a "better" grappling game. If anything, he'll be able to get on top and just be laying on top of him avoiding submissions

@Escanor It's possible. I placed a small bet on him at +200, just in case. Live-betting is where the magic happens, although that could be tricky with a matchup like this.

Ehhh Sakai is definitely a little much for Pogues right now. I don't think the UFC will give him that big a step up next. I could see Pogues fighting winner of Collier/Buday.

Could also see Sakai fighting Nascimento if he doesn't fight winner of Cortes-Acosta or de Lima.

I wouldn't be shocked if Allen won cause he is at a good camp, has been in the UFC for a minute now, and is still very young for a fighter. Muniz has just shown that his BJJ is just better than everyone in that division

I think if Allen can keep the distance and kickbox Muniz, he'll probably win, but I think Allen's ego is going to make him shoot

Allen's best bet would be to use his grappling skills DEFENSIVELY, and focus on maintaining an edge on the feet. Never fight your opponent where they're strongest.
