Happy for Allen. I had no money riding on that one either so I was rooting for him watching it back. Mostly annoyed I didn't back Allen when I'm a fan of his. Didn't really put in enough effort in researching that fight, it might have made a difference. I was right about the standup being even but I expected more from Muniz on the ground and kinda left it at that.

Lesson Time 👨‍🏫

Ok guys here is my main lesson from last night, I'm about to give you a valuable piece of ufc betting advice. 

Are you ready? 

Contender Series guys are where the best money is. 

Guys who are getting dominant wins on the Contender Series are being given fights to showcase their abilities. 

Off the top of my head the 2022 ones are Aliev, Peek, Sadykhov, Carpenter, Bonfim brothers, Rosas Jr, Joe Pyfer, Cortes Acosta, Marshall,Rebecki, Bilder, Ferreira and Jack Jenkins and soon to be Cameron Saimaan and Bo Nickal. The only losses I can think of were Mendonca who was fed to Basharat. 

I made good money on Aliev and Peek and I've learned that if you bet even $100, on every debuting DWCS fighter you will be profiting overall. No need to overthink anything.

I had a feeling Allen would get the win he is the superior MMA fighter Muniz is the superior jiu jitsu/grappling fighter is what I thought, though Allen made that debatable?

I also watched the broadcast in French cause im classy like that.... Nah ha thats all there was on fightpass main cards always blocked to force you to get sports TV subscription

Allen was/is more well rounded credentials dont matter.
Black belts get beat every day in any discipline.
I had Brendo day 1 other guy was riding fake hype.
Also Crazy rednecks are tough to beat.

he had good performances, don't see what's fake about it. if anything this just shows how shallow the MW division is. it's like LHW and HW, there are barely any new faces around, the fighters from like #11 - 25 just trade places in the rankings every few months and to get ranked they don't even need to win all that many fights, there are barely any new guys breaking through, while the lower weight classes you have guys on 4-5 win streaks who can't get a ranked fight. Allen was in a similar position to this one not too long ago and he got beat up by Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis, this time it was his night. Maybe he improved his flaws, but before this all he did is beat Alvey, Malkoun and Jotko, hardly a strength of competition that makes you think this guy is ready for the T10 again.

Jotko was a decent favorite in that one though on Tap. That's one where I happily backed Allen and bet on him too. I thought he was undervalued then, apparently he was undervalued last night as well.
I think he proved then he had better than average striking and in this match better than average grappling.

I went 8/10 betting. Got Fernandes and Johnson wrong. Both losses were by decision. Only 1 wrong on bellator as well but only chose 14 fights. Went 21/24. 87.5% win rate.
