Deaton

There is a fight from 2019 where Deaton loses & gets wrestlef cked for 3 rounds...
In his PFL fight I saw what Ayy saw, low output boxing with no urgency, seemed to want to counter strike but inactivity was his enemy. He DID rock/drop his opponent once however. No grappling at all (opponent was a kickboxer btw)
But then in a 2022 fight with Justin Jaynes (Ex UFC), was very active going 1st & initiated grappling exchanges. He was able to maintain top control, throw in some G&P as well. At one point he even reversed a TDA and turn it into his own TD. Most of the fight was him on top or from behind with a body lock
It's always hard for me to truly gauge how good someone actually is on the regionals, but I feel confident in Solecki's wrestling being levels above this guys'

I mean, he out grapples Justin Jaynes which isn't saying much but it's worth noting that he went from getting wrestle fcked by Flok to using that approach against Jaynes
But perhaps that Flok fight is a calling card to how good his defensive wrestling may still be
