The worst thing about working all the time is that you're working all the time.

I'll argue that they don't follow the criteria more then half the time, You should only score stikes, ground and pound, slams and subs, Shouldn't take into account takedowns, ground control, agression, etc unless damage is equal, But judges do that sometimes

I also think I need to get better at scoring fights, I do the mistake of scoring anything non damage so i'm not judging, It's hard to do properly

The reason judging is all over the place and too subjective in the primary criteria "effective" attacks is that attacks with higher potential to end the fight "immediately" are weighed higher than attacks which "cumulatively" contribute to ending the fight.
It entirely relies on the judge assessing who applied the more damaging individual attack because that will be weighed more heavily than who created the most cumulative damage across the round.

This is where perceptions cloud the judgement. If a fighter responds to getting hit poorly vs a fighter who gets hit just as hard but does not react the fighters response will sway the judge. Also I suspect fighters who are known to strike with high power are likely to be favoured over fighters who haven't acquired the same reputation.

I think the perception of how a fighter responds to getting hit is why Jon Jones has won the close fights most of us probably think he lost. Jon plays off damage really well - you can see he's getting hit and getting hit hard but his body language very rarely demonstrates this.

MMA Judging

Predictions: 7 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 350 Points   |   Tied for 2666th

I think a lot of our Tapology forum members make excellent MMA judges and should definitely hit up the NSAC for a job.

They have all the right qualities of being stupid, poor eyesight, deaf, no knowledge of MMA and convinced their delusional ideas are reality. Perfect for the job. Also most can't read or write properly which is an added qualification.

L'Andrew, Bananas, DanRoman****, WasteToiletWanderer, Nameless... you guys should all apply

Judging is a business take advantage of that.
Pd: the people counting out Lemos make me laugh so hard. Same odds Andrade vs Lemos than Marina vs Lemos... if Andrade doesnt win for A, she is goin to win by B or C. Marina is only standing muay thai ( more volume ) but thats the fight who likes Lemos, being an sniper and capitalizing your mistakes.

Only problem with your breakdown is, Tagir isn't Khabib, actually he's one of the worst in his camp if we had to be honest. He's never really shown dominance in any of his UFC fights, so where the trust is coming from, I really don't understand...

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 6 of 9 Winners, 1 Perfect, 370 Points   |   Tied for 2548th

Magny vs. Rodriguez
Daniel Rodriguez, TKO, R3
D-Rod with a late finnish, he's gotta prove us that he won aggainst Leech, so a finnish or a dominant Dec is his only option man, if he losses his stock goes down way bad, so pressure is on him. Overall though D-Rod is a much better overall fighter compared to a steadily declinning Magny.

Parisian vs. Sherman
Chase Sherman, TKO, R1
Sherman with the experience edge, safest bet is FTGTD; NO

Ulanbekov vs. Maness
Tagir Ulanbekov, DEC
Changed to Ulanbekov, I mean Maness dropping down concerns me alot. if this was 135 Maness, i'd defintly pick him as a dog

Madsen vs. Dawson
Mark Madsen, DEC
Decided to go with Madsen after being on Grant a whole week, very close fight for both guys, I just think Madsens superior wrestling + striking will win him a SD

Minner vs. Nuerdanbieke
Shayilan Nuerdanbieke, TKO, R2
Shayilan if he survises R1, Minner fades at over 1.5

Hadley vs. Candelario
Jake Hadley, TKO, R2
Not confident Hadley. defintly not in any parlays

The Main Event

Predictions: 7 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 450 Points   |   Tied for 1627th

Most all of us know these fighters and have seen just about every relevant fight they’ve had in the last decade. Why do I feel like I’m the only one on Lemos here as far as DraftKings and straight up winning.

She will be the bigger athlete and I don’t think she is taken down and controlled. Lemos does need to be more active early on and not wait. Rodriguez is nice I’m just not seeing why she so inflated in this fight.

I see ALoT of value in LEMOS and even more so in DFS on DKs.

Also as for DFS lineups and the prices for these ladies this is a very fadeable main event all the way and sprinkle to 20ish% of Lemos in the lineups.

What do you guys think?

personally? I've taken a massive loan, sold all of my property in Paris (**** that city) and put it all on Marina Rodriguez.

the confidence I have in this pick can't even be measured on any human-made scale

I'd literally liquidate all of my assets including villas in Mykonos, Ibiza and Saint-Tropez if I could to bet it all on Marina Rodriguez

let's not forget Amanda Lemos has ****** cardio (5 round main event fight), lost to Angela Hill and was gifted a freebie against Waterson's ****** gameplan

Meanwhile, Marina Rodriguez is genuinely a ******* monster, a top 3 striker in the division, godly cardio, powerful for WMMA standards and has made incredible improvements in the grappling department

if you're worried about Lemos wrestle******* Rodriguez, i will simply laugh AT you and IN your face for even suggesting something as stupid. Lemos doesn't have nearly the cardio required to successfully carry out a grappling oriented gameplan for a 5 round decision win, Rodriguez will scramble out of every single position, make Lemos gas out and then pick her apart on the feet into a TKO win in the later rounds

actually, typing this out made me even more confident in my pick

currently on the phone with my accountant and soon will be adding my lawyer to the call, liquidating all my european property assets, including my 20 million euro car collection, just to place it all on Marina ************* Rodriguez

if you're not following me on this call, you DESERVE to STAY poor.

So Bananas borrowed $10 from his mum, sold his shed in the  Paris slums and is planning on selling his Portaloos in Mykonos, Ibiza and St Tropez.

If Rodriguez loses he will be looking for work cleaning toilets

Predictions: 7 of 10 Winners, 0 Perfect, 365 Points   |   Tied for 2557th

Rodriguez vs. Lemos
Marina Rodriguez, DEC
I expect them to be gassed at round 3 and just barley make it to decision

Magny vs. Rodriguez
Neil Magny, DEC
I was so disappointed in d rod at 279

Minner vs. Nuerdanbieke
Darrick Minner, SUB, R2
I want more submission finishes, if this gets to ground its a good chance

Bautista vs. Lopez
Mario Bautista, SUB, R2
Just look at how stupid Benito looks against a kid who looks like he's constantly fighting demons

Yu Frey vs. Viana
Polyana Viana, SUB, R2
Female MMA usually always go decision, except against submission artists. Think jinh prevents and takedown for round 1 but eventually gets taken down and submitted

Munoz Jr. vs. Sholinian
Johnny Munoz Jr., SUB, R2
Predicting an exchange that leads to the ground and Shalimar gives his back for rear naked choke

Hadley vs. Candelario
Jake Hadley, DEC
Honestly not sure

Pascual vs. Vidal
Ramona Pascual, DEC
Vidal isn't good

Maybe you can start a Portaloo chain with your profits
