Read a twitter thread under Marina's comment on the stoppage. First time I've read tweet replies in 6 months and good god what cess pool.

Anyway, I don't know why we have to pretend that was a good stoppage. Like, we can understand the ref saw the initial reaction was poor but by the time Zog got there she was fine, barely anything landed in the flurry that ended the fight.

The problem is I started saying Herzog was the gold standard after the Texiera vs Smith fight. He called that fight to perfection. It was a masterclass but he copped so much **** from the twitter gaggle that he actually apologised publicly for the finest reffing he's done in his entire career and now it's early stop after early stop. Same **** with Herb, he's too busy thinking about what the tweets will say to ref the damn fight in front of him.

You ***********ers complaining about late stoppages have ruined mma.

I fell like Lemos fight wouldn’t get stopped if it were men fighting as her tko stoppage of Ruiz was early too. Should give Marina a chance to recover, she fighting for a title shot, her dream is to become champion, Who know what would of happen if the fight were to continue

I was fine with the stoppage personally. If she is championship material then she can work her way back. If you watch back the stoppage, you'll see that she was not defending herself at all, that she wasn't even looking at Lemos and that she was not improving her position.
