I think it’s to make sure the padding is all there and the gloves haven’t been tampered with, not an issue in mma really but it has happened in boxing before

He didn’t finish but carpenter should get a contract. He beat a tough ass opponent and did what he needed to do. I think that was a great test for him. High celing for him. We may see Chairez back imo

29-28 Carpenter

Dealt with the adversity very well and by the last 2 rounds he was mixing up the shots with the striking very well. His head movement was on point for the most part too, got a bit over aggressive in the striking in the first and paid for it, so even adjusted very well

He should get a contract, Chairez will be back

Carpenter should get the win but I don't think he should be signed. He showed a lot of struggles with a longer opponent but he's still young with room to improve. This should have been the type of opponent he would steamroll if he was truly ufc ready.

I wanna see chairez get another shot or at least stick around stateside as a potential short notice replacement on a fight night card, he was really entertaining until he gassed

This fight wouldn't have been close if Chairez had a crazy gas tank, so he'll definitely be back. I honestly wasn't impressed until the last minute tho which may have gotten him the contract
