At a young age, Carpenter holds notable achievements across multiple disciplines including USA junior national Muay Thai champion ( amateur ), multiple time World junior Grappling / Pankration medalist, Arizona Golden Gloves state boxing champion, IBJJF European Open gold medalist, and is a 2010 junior European Pankration / Grappling gold medalist. 

Carpenter also holds a notable victory over combat-sport super prospect, Aaron Pico, at the 2009 "Bred 4 Battle" Pankration tournament, in a 100lbs cadet division superfight. Carpenter has trained alongside Pico, in prepartion for Pankration / Grappling tournaments, where they both travelled and competed as part of the USA Pankration team.
