Interesting that the picks are so one-sided and the odds are even. To me Goldy should be a very slight favorite

Not sure I realized Jordan Williams is coming down to 170lbs. Does he knock Gall out in round 1 or does he get gassed from the weight cut and loses a decision?

Predictions: 4 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 2288th

Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw
Cory Sandhagen, TKO, R3
wondering how the time away will affect tj, kinda expecting him to shoot early and avoid testing his chin. not sure i see it working though, cory might just be too rangey.

Phillips vs. Paiva
Kyler Phillips, TKO, R2
i'm buying the kyler hype for now. bjj looks good, striking looks good, just has to make sure he keeps the fight in a spot where he can attack from his desired range.

Elkins vs. Minner
Darrick Minner, DEC
wanted to say minner finds a finish, but ko is unlikely given his track record and elkins has only been subbed by do bronx. either way i'm thinking he can hold his own in the elkins grind.

Barber vs. Maverick
Miranda Maverick, DEC
maverick is most certainly hittable, but will barber be able to defend td's and avoid gassing? i'll say no and that maverick controls the clinch.

Yanez vs. Costa
Adrian Yanez, DEC
this one should be a fun fight. both have some promise, but i'm gonna go with yanez and his experience even though costa is bigger.

Soriano vs. Allen
Brendan Allen, SUB, R2
strickland is good, even up at 185, so i won't let that ko loss scare me off of allen. he's the bigger man and figures to have the advantage if he can get it to the mat.

Heinisch vs. Imavov
Ian Heinisch, DEC
tough call, won't be surprised if i'm wrong, but i'm gonna go with heinisch's 7-3 record in decisions over imavov's 2-2.

Gall vs. Williams
Jordan Williams, DEC
feeling like mickey is gonna gas trying to force td's that get stuffed.

Arce vs. Ewell
Julio Arce, DEC
i feel a split decision coming, but i'll stay with arce because of the win over ige.

Eubanks vs. Reed
Sijara Eubanks, DEC
rooting for reed, but we're gonna find out quick what kinda clinch she has and if she can stay upright. if not then it's all sarj.

Belbiţă vs. Goldy
Hannah Goldy, DEC
i wanted to say that velveeta cheese can use her size/reach reach advantage to overcome to ring rust on goldy, but her level of competition has been so poor prior to ufc that i can't get myself to pick her.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 4 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 215 Points   |   Tied for 2086th

Sandhagen vs. Dillashaw
Cory Sandhagen, TKO, R1
This is the obvious pick due to Sandhagen's recent performances and Dillashaw's long layoff, but if you're not laying money on TJ at plus odds then why do you even gamble ever?

Phillips vs. Paiva
Kyler Phillips, TKO, R2
We could all be underestimating Paiva here, definitely another live dog.

Elkins vs. Minner
Darren Elkins, SUB, R2
When I saw this fight get announced I was like "Sweet, that's kind of a gimme fight for Elkins." and now I see he's the underdog? Hahahaha

Barber vs. Maverick
Miranda Maverick, TKO, R3
how many losses will it take to break the dillusion?

Yanez vs. Costa
Randy Costa, TKO, R1
This is a huge step up, but this guy fights for the memory of his friend and that's a powerful force. I'm picking with my heart this week!

Soriano vs. Allen
Punahele Soriano, TKO, R1
Allen can win this on the ground, but I think he will fight on the feet enough that Puna will find the shot.

Heinisch vs. Imavov
Nassourdine Imavov, DEC
Heinisch lets fights get away from him a little too often, and Imavov will be able to use his reach advantage and jab to keep distance and piece him up enough to impress the judges.

Gall vs. Williams
Jordan Williams, TKO, R2
Gall isn't very good

Eubanks vs. Reed
Sijara Eubanks, DEC
Reed is a better fighter but she's going to be out-muscled so it won't matter unfortunately.

Belbiţă vs. Goldy
Hannah Goldy, DEC
Goldy looks ripped as ****, she's taking this seriously after that loss

Disgust.

Predictions: 4 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 255 Points   |   Tied for 1579th

I have to say the MMA online community has let me down and let me down hard the past two and a half days. First, but not a surprise on pics of Chiasson training that UFC posted to their instagram, the majority of the comments called her a man, saying she was Jake Paul or Machine Gun Kelly. When I posted a response to all this (Im sorry but one of my biggest pet peeves about the MMA online community is the vitriol some fans give to female fighters who they dont find physically attractive (I'm writing my dissertation on the subject)) they immediately attacked me for being transgender (I am transgender, says so in my insta bio. Then yesterday, on a post of Aspen Ladd training during fight week, many comments said Chiasson faked the injury because she was scared of ladd or because and i quote "her ******* stupidity for training during fight week and getting herself hurt." First off, saying this under a photo of Ladd training during fight week..........that's a double standard ( I always thought fight week was a mix of training and weight cutting, they claimed its all weight cutting, but I could be wrong, only been following the sport for two years) Second, faking the injury? Seriously? if you are going to accuse someone of that you better have damn good proof and not just "its weird 36 hours before the fight." I basically said as much, and again the first thing they attack me for is being trans. Just wow. I apologize for the rant there, but I had to get it out somewhere and tapology seemed the best place to do it. I just feel this attacking female fighters for their appearance needs to stop, accusing people of ducking a bout without solid proof needs to stop, and trans fans (not talking about trans fighters thats a whole other can of worms) need to not have their gender identity thrown back in their face. Also if this was not the right place for this rant (ie wrong thread) then I apologize.

I won't lie, I only bet for who I think will win the fight outright, sounds crazy cos it's no where near that straightforward and yes I've lost loads of money , but I don't do prop bets or underdogs (imo) or risky fights betting wise, I always just do straight win bets of who I genuinely think will win the fight

Phillips vs. Paiva
Kyler Phillips, SUB, R2
The UFC is always looking to create new stars; UFC looks to those they considers stars for relatively "easy" fights.

Yanez vs. Costa
Adrian Yanez, SUB, R1
Without much to say, I don't know who is Costa.

Soriano vs. Allen
Brendan Allen, TKO, R2
I have time following Allen; He's a warrior in the cage I know he's going to do his best to keep moving up in his division.

Heinisch vs. Imavov
Nassourdine Imavov, TKO, R2
In my opinion Imavov has better striking and grappling techniques.

@Batwoman, your standards are too high perhaps. I’m not saying your points are wrong or aren’t well taken by some. The thing is the majority don’t comment. The majority that do are often blow hard peons. I wouldn’t let them ruin a moment of your day.

Aaaasasnd another thing,  you’re welcome to rant away. Just don’t apologize for it. Speak your mind.

Okay. Time for me to look at this card and see who to pick.

^ What Swain said. I don’t know why you would expect better from one of the most toxic/misogynistic group of fans in the world. Where’s RKN at who doesn’t even think women should legally be allowed to fight? Lmfao, MMA fans can be some of the best or most autistic fans in the world.

I completely understand your position @loudenSwain and it is true. Probably a big reason is because I've simply read so many comments of it during my last two years of dissertation research and writing, that sometimes I feel like I'm drowning in their negativity. This likely has made me more easily irked as opposed to others when I see it.
