I don’t know about you guys but I definitely don’t think this is the 2 best welterweights in the world. I rank usman as the best burns as the 5th best masvidal 4th and edwards/Covington 2nd/3rd

I don't think Masvidal is top 10 in terms of skill. He's internet famous based on a fake belt and a Ben Askren highlight. He's not winning rounds against Usman, Burns, Covington. Or honestly probably Edwards/Khamzat. He should absolutely rematch Nate Diaz and just cash the checks.

@Spud, Usman's last three fights have been wins over champions. He beat the world champion. He beat the (lapsed) interim champion. He beat the BMF champion. If that doesn't make him the best in the division by any operational criteria, I don't know what does.

You don't have to like him, but he's clearly the best in the division. If Burns takes that away tonight, proper respect to him.

Honestly I think masvidal outboxes burns quite handidly. Styles make fights and masvidal is very difficult to sub and never loads up. I think Thompson beats him too. Maybe put him at my #4 instead. Masvidal is a weird one as he’s went from criminally underrated to the most overrated fighter in the ufc after Diaz

Is it just me or are no ranked fighters fighting recently. Main cards a full of new comers who barely have ufc wins. Covid restrictions really have weakened ppvs. I’m not asking for a huge name every month but a couple of good exciting fights that are also relevant to rankings

Put me on the official Masvidal hater train and serve me crow if I'm wrong. But he's a career journeyman who got extra famous the past two years based on some fun flukey KOs and his persona. He didn't get it in the ring. It was a three fight win streak. Everything else is made up.
