Been thinking about MMA a lot during the quarantine, and I got to thinking about Kamaru Usman. I was wondering, who can beat him? Strikers like Masvidal and Edwards would more than likely get grapple-******, BJJ practitioners like RDA and Maia were handled easily, whats it gonna take to beat him? The only people I can see beating him are Colby and Gilbert Burns. Gilbert could do it because he is a consummate grappler with very good stand-up which may be a winning combo against Usman.

Who do you guys think might beat him?

The one thing going against Usman is his knees

So does anyone think that Burns can beat Usman this weekend? I think he has a chance as he's a good grappler but I feel that Usman is better in that department and will get another decision victory.

In my opinion, I think Usman has two tickets to his defeat in his pocket, via Burns and Chimaev! I believe he pick up the right one!

@TARTARA

Maybe Chimaev in a year or two if he can prove that he's the real deal and gets a bit more experience but right now I think only Burns can beat him.

Burns have a good chance but they trained togetter for years and Usman have no problems taking this fight. That generally means Usman is confident he win this.

Otherwise, Usman may be the champ for a certain time because he can outstrike Covington and Edwards and can outwrestle the rest of the division. The fact that he is 6'-3" and larger then every WW does help.

@Stephen Terry
You are apsolut right and i agree with you!

But from what i see (eagle eyes view), from the huge boost promotion they have given him, they have made him a ground-to-air missile !
If he manages to get through Edwards unscathed then, "Houston We Have A Problem, It's Over"!

PS :
Isn't that you believe it would actually happen, but what I see from above as a generality!

@TARTARA

The fact that the promotion are hyping him up doesn't always mean that he's the next big thing, it just means that he's popular with the fans after a few highlight reel finishes and the UFC want to cash in on his popularity. He is without doubt an exciting prospect and could very well be challenging for the title in a year or so but, I'd say that even if he beats Leon Edwards, there are still a few people above he should beat before he deserves a title shot. If he beats Edwards then he should fight another top 10 guy and then one of the serious challengers like Jorge Masvidal, Colby Covington or Stephen Thompson before he deserves a shot at the belt. I think it would probably be better for him as well if he took his time so that he can gain a bit more experience before taking a title fight as Usman would make light work of an inexperienced fighter. It also depends on if he wants to make a run for the Middleweight title as well because if he does then, again, there are a lot of good fighters he has to beat at Middleweight before he can rise up the rankings towards a title shot in that division.

He's got all the right ingredients necessary to beat Usman one day but I just feel that it is still too early to say that's a certainty and there are too many factors to take into consideration. If he beats Edwards then he's a step closer to that happening but I'm not getting carried away with all the hype just yet.

I've just done a bit of Googling and I don't know if this is official UFC merch but you can buy a UFC hotdog brander: https://www.fanatics.com/ufc-hot-dog-brander/p-23522957599225+z-9769-3732591852
