Wow. Talk about a mess. 

Bellator 174's weigh-ins did not go well, with both Joe Taimanglo and Mike Rhodes missing weight. The fighters were unable to come to catchweight agreements, so both fights are off, elevating a pair of prelims to the main card.

There's still a few solid fights, including the main event. Interested to see if Budd has a breakout performance. 

Prelims kick off on Spike.com at 7pm ET before switching to Spike TV at 9pm.

You have 2 legit female fights with Ranked women in Flyweight and FW and they bump a random hw fight to the main? Lovatos opponent isnt making any waves either. No offense to them but


you got a chick that just beat marloes put her on the main card. And Emily is a known commodity in bellator. Both fights have a great argument to be on the main card

Here is Rhodes facebook explaining that he couldn't make the weight. He says he dropped 22 pounds in lil' over a day. I understand the agreed weight was 195 pounds. Maybe he shouldn't have taken the fight if he can't make the catchweight. EDIT: Found this instagram post where Kendall confirms that the fight was a 195 catchweight and that Rhodes was 7 pounds over.

How much was Joe T over? Why is there so many catchweights on this card, 150,175, 195 and 174? **** storm of a weigh in day, 2 scratched fights along with the 4 catchweights. Girtz is almost 10lbs less than Gonzalez. Weird card, hopefully a good show. And i agree with SlongKong, Dufresne should have a spot on the main card.

@SlongKong I'm going to assume it's punishment for her missing weight in her Bellator debut,which is of course her 3rd missed weight in a row totaling about 16 lbs.She has to make weight this time,but probably won't lol.I think that's probably the reason though imo.

Dufresne gets smashed. That woulda been good to show on the main card. If Marloes Loses they probably make that rematch. I'd put Holloway against Roberta Paim next.

I'm not the type to get crazy about young fighters with potential,but before she came to the UFC I really did think she was going to be someone special.Between her terrrrrible cardio,missing weight constantly and just falling apart in fights imo she has no future,at least at the highest levels.Kinda sad,she came on the scene looking like a monster,but,you know,cans and stuff.

I'm oddly really interested in this Gonzalez Girtz fight.Should be a great fight,as long as Girtz doesn't/can't hold him down for 15 minutes.This fight should be all over the place.

Round 1 Girtz but that second round was very close i think i would give the edge to Gonzalez whoever wins the third round could very well win this fight
