Lukas Brzeski might be the bet of the night!

Predictions: 4 of 7 Winners, 2 Perfect, 290 Points   |   Tied for 4101st

So Lukas is a +230 underdog which is quite unwarranted. The betters are thinking of Walter as some Robelis type super athlete HW prospect. I can see why based on him being Johnny's brother and being a big lean HW. But if you actually watch his fights, you'd notice that he hasn't faced a single proper HW sized fighter and most importantly struggle against the short fat 220 lbers he has faced. He's actually an above average athlete who despite his size doesn't pack a punch, has zero explosiveness, terrible grappling and **** striking. Meanwhile Lukas looked much better on the regional scene, and in the UFC had a split decision against Buday who was ranked 15 for a while. I think Walter will struggle with Lukas's size and will lose a decision.

@Vadapav
He will probably struggle, but he will just get the takedowns and tko/dec. Brzeski could get a ko, but that is a big ask. Does he even have ko power?

Edit: Valter never been finished also.

I've got Norma Dumont KO +1800. She has no KOs but rocked almost everyone she faced at one point in the bouts and GDR is 40 years old and coming off a massive layoff. Also had no answer for when Peña swarmed her and started panic swinging while eating shots on the chin. Norma being aggressive doesn't happen every day so I wouldn't be surprised if she makes it a point fight but she will land shots at some point. Average KO rate for WMMA 135ers is around 22% or +355.

@gliese58i
I like your thinking as always, it's just not stupid enough for me to sprinkle on. Didn't GDR beat a man in boxing, and she won rounds vs Nunes, the first time in years. Probably just another Normal Dumont decision. However, Dumont by sub...maybe.

Bookies hold sub as far more likely because she has a couple of RNCs from ages ago. From what I've noticed Dumont's attitude is most often a 'let's have a fun fight together' and she then goes in for a sparring match in which she beats everyone at 145.

In the instances where she's gotten mad which happened for example against Rosa she attacked her with a flurry of punches that made you wonder why she doesn't try to go for the KO more often because those were fast and sharp combinations. Also she's landed heavy counter shots in multiple fights that staggered her opponent.

GDR would love it if Dumont goes for her usual sparring fight and Dumont has low fight IQ so she might, that's why the odds have shifted so much I believe. I'm placing a long shot someone tells her "hey, how about trying to knock her out? get in her face and swing, when Peña did it she paniced and backed to the fence and started brawling with her hands low".
I've got Dumont ML as well though so the prop is covered as long as she wins.

Dumont is the pick for sure, and agree with everything you said but that is also why GDR should win. Norma wont just stand there like a punching bag, but she will stand long enough to get lit up. GDR will have the far superior stand up game. If Norma can't get it on the ground she is done. But I believe she is here to win, she can find a way, with that waggon she draggin. Sub would be interesting. Your prediction is more fun, I'd love to see Norma get a KO/TKO vs GDR.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 9 of 12 Winners, 5 Perfect, 615 Points   |   Tied for 85th

Allen vs. Curtis II
Brendan Allen, SUB, R3
Curtis looks to be getting older and starting to slow down since their first fight and Allen looks like he's improved leaps and bounds since then. This is a perfect litmus test to see just how far he's come since he's been on this streak. Curtis has the power to make him pay if he doesn't fight smart, but I think Allen eventually finds Curtis' back and gets the RNC

Hernandez vs. Jackson
Alexander Hernandez, TKO, R2
Hernandez is a hard man to trust, especially at 145, but Damon Jackson is getting older and I don't trust his chin. Hernandez has pretty solid takedown defense, so if he can keep this standing I think he'll find the finish or take a decision.

Charriere vs. Mariscal
Chepe Mariscal, DEC
I originally picked The Last Pirate but my gut made me switch. Charriere is the much cleaner and more dangerous striker, but Chepe is just such a ******* dog. He's going to have to get Charriere against the fence, beat up on him, and wear him down. If he tries to stand at distance and point fight it's not gonna go well for him. But that's not who Chepe is. He's a ******* DAWG, and I'm rocking with the dog here.

Bahamondes vs. Giagos
Ignacio Bahamondes, TKO, R2
Bahamondes hasn't beaten anyone to deserve these odds, especially coming off of a beatdown from Klein. He should get this done here though. Giagos is a wrestler and though Klein was able to get Bahamondes to the mat, Giagos isn't the explosive athlete Klein is. Bahamondes is light years ahead on the feet and should be able to stuff enough of the takedowns to either point his way to a decision or find the finish. If he gets comfortable on his back throwing up submissions he could lose this though.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 7 of 12 Winners, 4 Perfect, 490 Points   |   Tied for 1210th

Allen vs. Curtis II
Chris Curtis, TKO, R2
Give me Curtis to finish Allen at some point again. I think Allen is super talented but his lack of striking defense is very concerning and he's gonna be winning this fight until he's not. Curtis throws heat and Allen is gonna get too overconfident once again. He's not smart for taking this fight against Curtis who is way behind him in the rankings at this point. It does nothing for him except help him forget about the first loss if he wins.

Hernandez vs. Jackson
Alexander Hernandez, TKO, R1
I hate backing Hernandez cause he's always a wildcard but he's gonna brutally knockout Jackson here.

Charriere vs. Mariscal
Chepe Mariscal, DEC
This will be a close split most likely and I'm leaning Chepe. I think him being and bringing the dog fight is gonna bother Morgan in this spot and Morgan loves to make fights close.

Bahamondes vs. Giagos
Ignacio Bahamondes, TKO, R3
Giagos is skilled early but then gasses and gets finished. That's exactly what's gonna happen here. Ignacio by sub is also live.

Brzeski vs. Walker
Valter Walker, TKO, R1
Quick ground and pound for Walker. Let's see how good he really is here against a bum.

Peek vs. Campbell
Charlie Campbell, SUB, R2
I think this is gonna be a war until one man falls and I gotta go with Campbell here. I think he pulls something out of his pocket and subs Peek when he's least expecting it.

McGee vs. Morono
Alex Morono, DEC
McGee is so cooked but I think he can survive to a decision against Morono. He's gonna get beat up badly by Alex though.

Dumont vs. de Randamie
Norma Dumont, DEC
de Randamie is more skilled but she has been away for years and has always had questionable takedown defense and I think Norma exposes her here.

Falcão vs. Hugo
Victor Hugo, SUB, R1
I think Hugo can take him down early and finish him. I don't like how Falcao is stepping in on extremely short notice.

Matsumoto vs. Argueta
Dan Argueta, DEC
I was gonna take Matsumoto because Argueta isn't very good and Mats is actually skilled but I gotta take Dan to win via pressure and experience. He will edge out a close win.

Budka vs. Almeida
César Almeida, TKO, R2
I think Budka can gets takedowns early but Almeida will get back to his feet and then finish Budka. Dylan has no striking skills at all so he's grapple or bust and that's why I can't pick him here.

Mullins vs. Cornolle
Melissa Tonya Mullins, DEC
Mullins will win with takedowns. Cornolle isn't very good.
