it's a tough situation. on one hand you have the arguments that:

1) there should be zero tolerance for certain fouls, and he should be cut for simply that alone

2) the promotion risks this guy doing something like this again. what if, for whatever reason, he goes out in that "tough fight" and badly eye pokes his opponent? we've seen what kind of damage accidental eye pokes can do, imagine what intentional ones could do.

and I'm sure there are more arguments than that, but I think those are the main things they will look at

I don't think he needs a lifetime ban but he's only 20, give him a good 10 years to cool off and sign him again at 30 if he's become a champ in another org like the PFL or One at that point.

@Taisumagomenov I know what you mean, but this was also a different time in the sport. The sport has become so much more professional since that time. There have been more fighters like Palhares that held on to subs for way too long like he did. Biting someone is a different story altogether in my opinion.
