Some really doubtful decisions in this event again. Also a discussion started by Cruz about how a cut created in round 1 should/could be taken in consideration to judge the following rounds might the worst commentating i heard in a while. But i think thats the main reason why the judges gave Sidey only 1 round.

Something needs to change in my opinion, too much is at stake to ruin someones career based on 1 persons judgement.

Wait do ppl actually believe they robbed Strickland? This was a close fight but DDP took 2,3,4 pretty blatantly. Turn off ur biases next time before watching. 2,3 were very close but DDP did more.

@jeffferson

Ppl are dumb they honestly thought Katona won that fight aswell.

Ppl preach damage over everything than said Katona won that fight.

For me it was Strickland 1-3-5 but 3 can go to DDP or Strickland.

In modern era UFC, a close fight is always being slandered as a "robbery". And honestly it's getting annoying

that's why we have professional judges who get paid 6 figures per year to judge fights and a handbook with judging criteria created by said professionals.. for them to be able to - most of the time - correctly call close fights (it almost never happens)

The second round of Strickland vs. Du Plessis is like the third round of Volkanovski vs. Holloway, in my opinion both cases were properly scored.

Instant Rematch is best for everyone, but you can say the second round is for Strickland and complain that Taveras' victory was a steal.
Strickland dominates early in the round, but Dricus lands good power shots in the second half, scores a takedown and lands more good shots in the last minute. Taveras scores a knockdown and make Sidey looked like a blood sea early, but Sidey put a beatdown on Taveras for 2/3 parts of the second round.

What decision is everyone upset about exactly? I honestly don't think any of these were robberies.

Two of the splits were a little alarming (Curtis and Woodson, who IMO both clearly won 2 rounds), but all the right fighters still ended up winning.

The Sidey decision was the only one I thought was clearly wrong, the other decisions were razor close and more open to interpretation.

sidey was the worst robbery of the night and then there's conversations that could be had about evloev/allen and strickland/ddp but the sidey one specifically was dirty

I ain’t going to moan about Strickland vs DDP or Allen vs Movser decision even if i think Allen and Strikland won because of damage, they were fights that were close and if you factor in control like a lot of people do, Movser and DDP arguably won, at this point I’m not getting mad at judges not following the proper criteria

Also, Strickland shouldn’t get another title shot, he has 0 defences, don’t think they need a immediate rematch every time a champ loses his belt

Could not watch the last 3 fights of the card so watched them today.

Malott and Mayra really disappointed me with their performances, especially Malott. It Sucks that Strickland lost the belt but I don't think it was a robbery. The fight was extremely close and depending how you score round 2 it could have gone either way.

Hope strickland gets a chance to fight for the belt again in the future and that Dricus fights Adesanya now.

This was 100% my worst picked card ever lol.  I have no idea how Strickland v. DDP was fight of the night. Surprisingly, I rated Jasudavicius v. Cachoiera as the fight of the night.  I actually thought the prelims were more exciting than the main card. Strickland also wasn’t robbed. I had him (and so did many) winning the 1st, 3rd, and 5th., but DDP kept it close. I have no idea why he was so defensive the whole fight. He looked like a completely different fighter vs. the guy that mauled Izzy, Imamov, and Magomedov. Last thoughts - I picked Pennington, she was boring and clearly does not listen to her coaches (watching her repeatedly clinch was absolutely cringe), but Bueno Silva I feel like is a fraud and I enjoyed watching her lose more than Pennington win.  I’m looking forward to 298.

This was the worst card ever!

Horrible judging all night long, low quality fights, this card was cursed from the very beginning!

To top it off, Strickland clearly won rounds 1, 2 and 5, no way DDP won that fight.

This card was ****** ********, I hope Strickland gets a rematch!

All Mallott had to do was to defend himself with barely any time left and he won the fight 29-28, I know he knackerd, but I still think he should of done better at defending himself, He quit on himself and lost an easy win.

Don’t think I seen someone lost an easy win like that
