Really hope Chito don’t get a title shot even tho Chito is one of my favourite fighter, you shouldn’t get a title shot after getting smashed two fight ago, and then winning a fight vs Pedro Munoz who loses to everyone , and a majority of people thought Chito lost that fight

Give the title shot to Merab if he wants it or Sandhagen if Merab doesn’t want he fight because Sterling is a bad friend, Giving Chito the title shot is a disgrace to the sport

@DamienHandel420
100% agree with you there. It just seems to be the most likely option as it's talked about the most and it's rumoured that Merab's gonna fight Cejudo.

Merab is definitely the most deserving but allegedly he already turned down two title fights and can't decide what to do with Aljo now either. If I was the matchmakers I'd say f that, neither of you is gonna get the shot as well. I mean Dana already questioned whether Merab even belongs into the UFC if he doesn't accept title shots.

Personally I would love to see Cory get the shot. He's on a three fight winning streak, absolutely dismantled Chito and 50-45ed Rob Font basically with one arm which is huge to me even though it wasn't the most entertaining fight. That fight would be fireworks.

So sad how Flick has been going out lately. Dude was legitimately being looked at as a prospect after that Durden submission.

Volk shouldn’t fight 3 month after getting slept, really think he’s making another bad move with his career if he fights on this date, if Volk fight again so soon I can see him getting slept, and his career having a big downfall

It’s the same as fighting Islam on 11 day notice, across the world. Up a weight class,

No idea what exactly Magny could show against Malott here. I see this one ending in first round again like Malott's last 4 fights in which he has absorbed only 23 strikes. Now in Canada.

Especially what Garry did to Magny too, these 30-26, 30-24 wasn't a good sign. Malott is much bigger danger for him than Garry was at this point now.

Love Volk...

but coming back quick against an opponent like Topuria after a shin upside the head on short notice is just a very bad decision

and we could very well see an absolute LEGEND ruin something great he has, if he goes thru with it.

Alexander Volkanovski Vs Ilia Tourpia

Ilia Tourpia round 2 KO, if Volk wasn’t coming back after 3 months from a brutal round 1 head kick KO I would pick him, I think 3 months is not enough time to shake off the cobwebs.

The “35 curse” that seems to be going around is also there for Volk incase you don’t know what I’m talking about: The Record of UFC fighters over 35 years old between 125 & 170 in title fight is 2-30.
Those 2 belong to Tyron Woodley.

Surprised nobody has been talking about Katona vs Armfield.

Think that fight has crazy potential for FOTN and as fighters they both kinda remind me of eachother.

Volkanovski vs. Topuria
Ilia Topuria, TKO, R2
I hope this is just a rumor because to me this prediction goes the same way I predicted Whittaker vs Gastelum when it was originally scheduled - I think in the previous fight the champion just simply took too much head trauma and he's rushing to get back to fighting way too fast. Constant weight cutting + training camps + then really bad head trauma in a live fight so often will give anyone problems, idc if you're Khabib or Jon Jones or GSP. So with that said, I think Topuria lays it on Volk and knocks him out with something heavy. I don't think the wrestling advantage will matter because Topuria can always carry that power, so even glancing shots behind the ear might be enough, when if he had enough rest, maybe Volk wouldn't even be phased. So if Volk doesn't take enough time to recover from the Islam headkick, I think he gets knocked out. Otherwise with enough rest I give him this fight, I think then the wrestling advantage will matter, because Topuria has never been in a 5 round UFC fight, let alone a big title fight. This all hinges on Volk's commitment to recovery, because I don't care how good your skills are, taking a bomb with 4oz gloves will give anyone problems if their brain isn't right.

Edit: nvm I forgot Topuria went 5 rounds with Josh Emmett...but that's the thing, it was Josh Emmett coming off of a loss, it's not quite the experience you want heading into your first title fight imo
