with all that being said, sam patterson at +125 is a god given gift as yohan only has a puncher's chance in this fight (yes, against a chinny lanky former lightweight who has a questionable chin and non existent striking defense - still a puncher's chance though)

Dricus Du Plessis, TKO, R3
Stinky card but this is a great fight. DDP just trucks forward even when it looks like he's dead tired. I think he end up finishing strickland. Should be good as long as it lasts
Pennington vs. Bueno Silva
Mayra Bueno Silva, SUB, R3
Pennington is good at the basics but MBS is more dangerous everywhere. What a **** division
Magny vs. Malott
Mike Malott, SUB, R3
I feel like magny is gonna fraud check malott but magny has taken a lot of damage in his career & I think malott will struggle early but end up hurting and subbing magny
Curtis vs. Barriault
Chris Curtis, TKO, R2
Should be a fun fight but I think Curtis is the better striker in a mostly standup fight
Allen vs. Evloev
Movsar Evloev, DEC
Close fight but I think evloev wins a split decision
Katona vs. Armfield
Brad Katona, DEC
Katona is in his prime right now. Afield is decent but this is the ufc trying to give a Canadian a hometown win
Jourdain vs. Woodson
Charles Jourdain, SUB, R3
Jourdain is younger with more experience. Woodson has no threat for jourdain and only beats bums
Sidey vs. Taveras II
Serhiy Sidey, TKO, R1
I can see Tavares getting the upset win but I gotta go with what I already saw on dwcs
Robertson vs. Viana
Gillian Robertson, SUB, R2
Viana is first round or bust
Lainesse vs. Patterson
Sam Patterson, SUB, R3
I don't trust Patterson chin and lack of head movement but maybe moving up a weight class will help him out & although lainesse has power he's pretty slow and untalented
Jasudavicius vs. Cachoeira
Jasmine Jasudavicius, SUB, R2
Priscila can't grapple for ****
Gordon vs. Flick
Malcolm Gordon, DEC
Awful fight. I feel sick having to pick either guy

Dricus Du Plessis
I think Du Plessis is just more physical and has that threat of power. Not that Strickland doesn't power or anyone, I just think Du Plessis has more of it.
Pennington vs. Bueno Silva
Mayra Bueno Silva
silva is self aware
Magny vs. Malott
Mike Malott
magny :(

Sean Strickland, DEC
I am unsure about this one. I think it's a very close fight on paper.
Jourdain vs. Woodson
Charles Jourdain, SUB, R2
Jourdain wins this in my mind. Just not sure how
Robertson vs. Viana
Polyana Viana, DEC
I'm going with the upset for this one. My reasoning is, vibes.
Lainesse vs. Patterson
Sam Patterson, SUB, R1
I just guessed with this one

Sean Strickland, TKO, R4
Started the year off very well with 9 of 11 picks correct and made some good money. So hoping to continue the good vibes so I thought I'd drop some picks early. Could change some of these after watching tape but these are my early picks. I like Strickland here. There is a lot of hype about DDP and a suggestion his cardio issues are magically fixed by a nasal surgery. I don't believe any of it. Beating Whittaker was impressive but there are rumours that he was injured going into that fight and that makes sense. Strickland is the defending champ, has relentless pressure and a great jab with high volume. DDP might take him down but I doubt he keeps him down, and we saw him get reversed by Darren Till of all people. He is not submitting Strickland. That I am sure of. I think Sean will avoid the early danger, and overwhelm DDP as the fight extends and he begins to tire out.
Pennington vs. Bueno Silva
Raquel Pennington, DEC
This is one I am not sure about. Need to watch more tape. Silva has a very nice submission game but can she get it to the ground? Pennington is good and should beat her on the feet. Silva in general gets a submission win or loses a decision and I don't see her submitting Pennington. And over 5 rounds I am not sure I trust her cardio. For now I am picking Pennington.
Magny vs. Malott
Mike Malott, SUB, R2
This is a showcase for Malott who I think is very good. Magny does not have the power to keep Malott off him and is prone to getting subbed. I see a finish her for Malott.
Curtis vs. Barriault
Chris Curtis, TKO, R2
MAB has never been a fighter I have had much success picking. And I do not like his style. And once again I am picking against him. I have always felt he is low key chinny and needs to be able to bully his opponent with pressure and cardio and some clinch/wrestling. I don't see that working against CC, who will stuff the take downs, hit him with body shots and dirty boxing in the clinch and won't fade. Late KO is my pick.
Allen vs. Evloev
Movsar Evloev, DEC
Another fight I need to look into, but my lean is Evloev. I think his wrestling will overwhelm Allen, and his top control will keep him down. Allen is not a KO puncher and his hands are delicate. I could even see him getting tired from the takedowns and mat returns. Evloev decision for me.
Katona vs. Armfield
Brad Katona, DEC
Katona is better. And I just like his striking and heart. I am not impressed by Armfields wins and Katona has faced better.
Jourdain vs. Woodson
Charles Jourdain, SUB, R2
Woodson has not impressed me recently, and as of late he has started to grapple when he does not like what is happening on the feet. I see Jourdain being too fast, too dynamic, peppering him with leg and body kicks and I am going to go out on a limb and say at some point he snatches up a choke on that long neck.
Sidey vs. Taveras II
Serhiy Sidey, DEC
I need to look more into Taveras, he seems finish or bust, but I like what I have seen from Sidey.
Robertson vs. Viana
Gillian Robertson, DEC
I do not like Viana's takedown defense or that she plays on her back for so long. I see Gillian taking her down and keeping her down.
Lainesse vs. Patterson
Yohan Lainesse, TKO, R1
Not impressed one bit by Patterson. Lainesse has enough grappling to stay safe if it hits the ground but I see him putting Patterson out
Jasudavicius vs. Cachoeira
Jasmine Jasudavicius, DEC
JJ is going to ragdoll her
Gordon vs. Flick
Malcolm Gordon, TKO, R3
Gordon is better everywhere in my opinion and Flick does not have the striking to touch that glass jaw. Gordon will get the finish after Flick slows down.
