Costa  vs knight

This is probably the hardest fight for me to call. Randy costa is bad & he has not learned from his mistakes in the ufc. He only has one win, but that win didn’t show anything new to his game. He crushed a can and showed the same high energy, explosive kicking game he always does. In round 1 costa is seriously dangerous; he is a huge bw, hits very hard, and is just a total force on offense. However, costa has no idea how to manage his cardio & fights at this balls to the wall pace until his cardio fails him. Another thing that bothers me is costa has shown no real inclination to improve; he just is a social media influencer now. Knight on the other hand had a crazy falloff. He’s not even old but just somehow has regressed over the years. His bjj is tricky but he will lose moments off of his back playing guard and his standup is among the worst I’ve ever seen. I think he will weather the early storm and break costa late. Since this is bkmma, I could see an early randy ko but I hate relying on one round fighters 


Sherman vs seumanutafa

Chase Sherman was so bad in the ufc but he is another guy who was simply made for this sport. Seumanutafa is a tough journeyman but that’s it, I expect Sherman to look pretty good here, especially now that he can juice 

Penafiel vs Davis

Both these guys are really bad. Penafiel has never been some elite talent but he has been a solid regional journeyman. However, as of this year he’s kinda stopped caring about competitive efforts and is just fighting to fight. Losing to who he’s fighting isn’t concerning but what is, is the damage he’s taking. Penafiel has been brutally slept in his last two (and taken a lot of damage to boot), on top of this, he’s fighting every two months so the damage is piling up. Davis’s downfall has also been pretty crazy; he was also never good to begin with but he just suddenly became awful. However, at least he’s not taking absurd damage each fight.

Millender vs bauman

This is gonna be a funny one. On one hand you have a busted prospect who likes to quit vs a guy who is clearly mentally deranged. Bauman is a walking edgelord; dude has no filter and is a bat**** insane conspiracy theorist. His overall skills are okay I guess, he hits hard but he’s not very technical. His ground game is awful but so is Millenders. Millender is definitely more skilled but man it is hard to back him in anything; you touch him cleanly once and he just gives up. I have to go bauman for that reason. Hes not as good but he is insane and at least makes competitive efforts 

Weems vs maranhao

Not sure who to pick with this one. I think weems is a jobber but for some reason he beats people he shouldn’t beat on the regional scene. Hes another one of those guys who’s chin is weirdly better in bkmma. Getting slept by Fernie was just pathetic yet he’s actually got some okay wins. One thing I will say is his bjj is actually pretty solid. Maranhao has a very ugly record but idk I have a weird feeling his power is gonna translate very well to bkmma 


Nicholson vs McLean

Nicholson is near jobber level in actual mma but he was made for bare knuckle. It’s funny cuz he’s a glassjaw but his power translates much better with no gloves on. I can’t believe McLean is still fighting, he wasn’t good in his prime and he’s not good now



Trinaldo vs palatnikov 
Trinaldo Ko Rd 1 

This is just a crazy mismatch, palatnikov was never a good mma fighter to begin with, now taking the gloves off is only gonna make him worse (he doesn’t like to get hit and already had bad defense as it is). Trinaldo is an old relic but the guy can fight his ass off; despite being 45 and very undersized for the weight class, trinaldo was always right outside the top 15. I don’t like long layoffs when you’re older but I doubt it really affects trinaldo much. Now, this is bare knuckle mma so maybe his chin can’t handle being hit with a bare fist, but he is significantly better than Sasha so he is my pick

Sarro vs Lombard 
Lombad KO RD 1 

seems like a setup fight for Lombard. Some weird **** always happens in all his fights but I have a hard time seeing how he loses this one. Sarro is 35, already losing to terrible people in bkfc, and he doesn’t even have a fraction of combat sports experience that Lombard has

Not much logic here just more bare knuckle experience in both mma and boxing 


Freeman vs Hill
Hill KO RD 1

no clue who wins this one really. It’s hard to pick freeman since he is on a crazy bad L streak and is 42 but at the same time hill has some horrendously bad losses. Coinflip to me but I’ll go with the younger guy 

Sanford vs Wingate 
Sanford sub rd 1 

Two old men. Gonna go with Sanford because he’s belchers training partner (likely brought him in because belcher asked). Also hard to back a guy who is getting finished in a minute every fight

It's literally the exact same rules, just Bareknuckle!

It's 2023, we should be able to pick who we think will win. Just make it unavailable for competitions or whatever,  idk what tapologys official reason for not letting us pick bare knuckle, kickboxing,  or muay Thai is...

Also Chase Sherman should have a massive advantage as one of the first dudes to get signed to the UFC from the bare knuckle world!

What is the actual reasoning behind this not only not counting on records, but also not being available for predictions? We see so many different spins on rules in MMA, but they still count as MMA bouts, yet these are for some reason not counted... why? Is no gloves really such a significant rule change that It doesn't count, while we can have rules that limit ground time to 30 seconds and that Is still good to go? 

The logical reason is the sanctioning body probably considers it as a fringe thing.
Like BKB which is only legal certain places.
