At first, Luque was scheduled to face dos Anjos on July 15, but said he and the UFC later found the commission had extended his medical suspension to a year after the brain bleed, forcing the promotion to push back the match to Aug. 12.
“I had to do a series of exams they were asking and get clearance from neurologists,” Luque said. “I went to three neurologists and they all cleared me to fight that they if I wanted to.”

Vicente Luque, TKO, R3
A tough call for this one. Luque is coming off a KO loss to Geoff Neal that caused a long medical layoff due to a brain bleed. RDA was able to bounce back from a KO loss to Fiziev with a second round RNC of Bryan Barberena. Luque's fighting style was always exciting and very engaging, but not built for longevity. He has a solid mix of technical striking mixed with power and is a proven finisher. His go to pressure can leave him open to takedowns. He's also been proned to being controlled once you take him down. RDA is a solid grappler but only has 35% TD accuracy. Due to Luque's injury, I read he has been working strictly on grappling during his recovery. Hopefully that helps improve his wrestling woes of late. RDA is no slouch to the standup and has shown he can put volume even at his age. He absolutely pieced up a taller, rangier striker in Renato Moicano with around 180 significant strikes. The hand speed has slowed down, however. Although I feel Luque throws up more red flags for me in this fight than RDA, I'm still taking him. I feel he has more to prove to himself. If he can avoid the takedowns not get controlled on the cage, He should be able to use a technical strike approach and land more damage on RDA. He'll have a 6" reach advantage hopefully puts it to good use and gets RDA out of there. close fight though.

Just watched Amorim's fights against Nichols, Young and Owen. None of them had the courage to give proper pressure against Amorim but I'm guessing her stance and the threat of the takedowns alone are enough to keep people at bay. Amorim still seems really untested, she does seem like a frontrunner though. She gets that takedown in the first round against Conejo's aggression it will be the beginning of the end.
