Prediction Comments
Predictions: 6 of 10 Winners, 3 Perfect, 455 Points | Tied for 1196th
Nikita Krylov, TKO, R1
I think worst case, It 2 big boys swinging bomb and Krylov is durable and Spann isn't, So I still favour Krylov, Best case is that he just wresle Spann, Either way Krylov will win, I'm actully more worried of a Spann Gullioteen then a knockout from Spann
Muniz vs. Allen
André Muniz, SUB, R1
Andre Muniz is one dimentional, he is a 3rd degree blackbelt in Jiu-Jitsu, So this is a fight of Muniz offensive wresling vs Allen takedown defence, I just think Muniz is getting Allen down and subbing him, He's jiu-jitsu too good for Allen to play that game
Sakai vs. Mayes
Don'Tale Mayes, TKO, R1
I don't know, Never been impressed with Mayes, And Sakai has been KO in his last 4 fight, But to be fair to him, All 4 of them are then 10 or so heavyweight who can fight, I take Mayes because he atheltic fat, And not fat fat like Sakai and isn't off 4 KO loses which would of weaken his chin
Suarez vs. De La Rosa
Tatiana Suarez, SUB, R1
Hoping we see Suarez destroy Montana just so we know she the Suarez from 4 year ago, It's now or never for her
Malott vs. Lainesse
Mike Malott, TKO, R1
I thought Darion Weeks got robbed in his fight with Lainesse, And you know what level that is, Expecting Malott to finish him how he wants
Gonzalez vs. Peek
Trevor Peek, TKO, R1
Not picking Gonzalez
Leavitt vs. Martinez
Jordan Leavitt, SUB, R2
I'm not sold on Leavitt, But i'm not pick Martinez, But I say with Leavitt is he Jiu-jitsu great, I just don't know if he's wresling and standup is that good
Osbourne vs. Johnson
Charles Johnson, TKO, R2
I like Johnson vollume and pace, And Ode is know to get chinned, And also is known for gassing, Maybe Ode do well early, But Johnson is never going to stop coming, Going to be a real fun fight
Solecki vs. Deaton III
Joe Solecki, SUB, R2
Easy win for Soleki
Aliev vs. Alves
Nurullo Aliev, DEC
Was going to pick Alves, He had good fight with Dober and Ismolgov who are both top 15 talent, But I'm worried about he's gastank agaist a solid grappler, beside the first round finish upsides for Alves, I don't really see how he wins

UFC Fight Night Krylov vs Spann Predictions, Fight Analysis and Betting Tips (UFC Vegas 70)
Some nice underdog spots this week too. Will post our betting slip Saturday morning!
Suarez/De La Rosa: I think Suarez is a far better fighter in the one area De La Rosa really excels. Unless Tatiana comes back 50% of herself prior to the time away, I think she wins fairly dominantly here. Taking her by decision but actually some decent plus money inside the distance!
Mayes/Sakai: Sakai has faced far better competition but is really on a steep decline. Mayes isn't good but he is more athletic and has decent movement in the pocket. Flip a coin here, I will take plus money on Mayes but not confident.
Allen/Muniz: Allen is probably slightly wider odds wise than I expected given how well rounded he is on the feet. The guy is young and definitely improving, I just worry about his durability, IQ and TD Def at times. If he is going to engage in grappling sequences with Muniz, he will get finished. I think Muniz's ability to ride advantageous positions will see him find a sub at some point but if he engages on the feet for too long, he can defs get clipped. Taking Muniz via Sub RD 2.
Krylov/Spann: Spann is talented, powerful and athletic but is a bit of a glass cannon. He is always dangerous in round 1 and can definitely put Krylov away early. I think Krylov is pretty underrated, the guy is experienced and very very well rounded and dangerous everywhere. If he survives round 1 I think he causes Spann a lot of trouble. Either way, I will be surprised if this sees round 3 but leaning Krylov - will take him SUB RD 2.

Allen seems to underrate Muniz grappling skills from watching interviews. I expect him to take him likely like he did with Jacob Malkhoun and instead of squeezing out a 29-28 UD over he gets finished or controlled for 15 minutes. Fighters with egos are a red flag to trust. I think Muniz is a future title contender with his skillset on the mat. Would like to see him vs Jack Hermansson next / or winner of Dolidze vs Vetorri.
Mallot:
Yohann has the power but hes more of a street fighter than a UFC fighter. Low output with minimal technique. I expect the striking coach Mallot to put on a performance on the feet/ground. Fights winner of Trevin Giles / Preston Parsons. Think Mallot is a fringe top 35 welterweight.
Suarez:
She gets back on track and maybe looks better than before. Fights winner of Kowalkiewicz/demopoulus. (2024) I expect her to be champ by mid 2024.
Leavitt:
Just like going with the better grappler here. I think UFC is trying to give Leavitt a chance to rebound. He's the perfect can crusher for the UFC contender series participants. Would like him to keep getting paired with contender series winners and eliminate the cans. Top 50 lightweight in the world.
Johnson:
I been highly surprised with Johnson with his recent performances. Even though I thought he lost to zhumagulov he's the real deal. With giving Mokaev a run for his money with the wrestling exchanges and finishing Flick in round 1 I think Johnson is a real top 15 contender. Would love to see him fight Albazi/Nascimento . Confident he beats fighters like shcnell, dvorak, ode etc. because of his pace, striking, wrestling defense.
Solecki:
Gimmie fight. Future prospect with Fringe top 30 potential. Would like to see him vs Cladio Puelles with win.

Not sure if people realise this but Martinez is a BJJ blackbelt under CDF who I believe is a 3rd degree. He trains with him every day. Striking levels above. Cardio levels above. Leavitt only has grappling and now I feel he does not even have an advantage there.
Martinez is now one of my very confident plays.

He has much better boxing, is much faster, has good distance control and is a much better grappler. Also has a good chin and much better cardio. Also Ode has to make a big weight cut.
I think it's about as close to a lock as you can get in this card

I thought so too. Such an annoying high pitched sound.
So I called the Pest control service. They told me it isn't a bug. Or a ****roach. Or any other vermin or pest. Well actually it was a pest. It turned out to be Bracket. They said there is nothing they can do to help and its our bad luck. We have to put up with it. Life is hard.

At the end of the day you can't replace competition, and I don't know if you could point to any of the guys on Victor's record as having as dangerous a ground game as Leavitt.
Definitely a close fight though, line is probably accurate.
